Creation Scientists make a mockery of religious belief by trying to turn it into an hypothesis (the same thing atheist opponents of religion do) and compound that foolishness by using very bad, pseudo-scientific arguments to defend their hypothesis.

Well... religious faith isn't really beyond the reach of what is scientifically knowable. The more scientific discoveries there are, the more we understand exactly what causes the feelings one feels when performing their religious rituals, as well as the reasons people invent religion.

There have been neurological studies of the brains of Tibetan Buddhists in meditation and Franciscan nuns in prayer, which found that they had decreased activity in the parts of the brain that have to do with sense of self and spatial orientation, which explains why those in prayer sometimes feel the "Holy Spirit", or at one with the world.
Prayer and meditation also increase levels of dopamine, which explains why some people act like addicts who are having their drugs taken away when someone challenges their beliefs.

There have been many, many studies on the psychology of religion, and why some humans feel a need to invent stories to explain things that they do not have enough knowledge to understand, thereby making themselves feel more in control of their world.

The more scientific knowledge that is discovered, the more it becomes apparent that the human "soul" is actually electrical and chemical signals in the nervous system, the same as with all thought and feelings.

To answer the second part of your question... the term "Creation Scientist" is an oxymoron. It is a term invented by those who are trying to make their beliefs in mythology appear to be credible. Since, in order to make their myths appear credible, they have to discard proven scientific facts (such as the fact that evolution is how life changes to adapt to its various surroundings, and all life evolves from other forms over millenia), these "Creation Scientists" actually prove only that they are not scientists. Scientists will take what they believe to be true and try to disprove it (the scientific method for discovering truth is based on this principle). These people take some data from scientific studies and discard anything that doesn't support their agenda, thereby perverting the results of the studies. This only serves to help spread their delusions to those who don't have enough education and/or intelligence to know better. But... it doesn't really undermine their faith, because their faith isn't based on reason or rationality. The only people that buy their false information are those that are already inflicted with the disease of self-delusion.

The one just above me answered it best. I wonder if they're doing any studies on why L.S.D use causes some people to become religious. There was a book written in the eighteen hundreds that pointed out how people often become violent when their beliefs are challenged. So you really should read the answer above mine with an open mind.

Ha! They're tripping on the very straws they're trying to grasp.

FYI - nothing is beyond the reach of that which is scientifically knowable because we live in a comprehensible universe. All it takes is TIME.

The question is still not completely clear in your mind yet, but I get the drift.

Most people never look at what "faith" is.

Faith is an incomplete form of knowledge.

It is an idea, a suspicion, a doubt, a wish, a dream, or theory, looking for confirmation.

When that confirmation comes, then faith becomes knowledge.

If you are a seeker of truth, then you are a seeker of knowledge, not a seeker of faith.

I see your point, but what you don't understand is there's no science in creation so "Creation scientists" don't exist unless you have faith.

Disclaimer: I personally follow the lessons of Christ but he never said that he was going to be condensed into book form. The Idolatry is nauseating for anyone that's spiritual.

How can one *make* it fit ??? it either does or it does not........ non-creation scientists have also gotten a few things that fit the Bible..... and who said belief is beyond the reach of science ???*faith* is, and God the Father is......... His whole creation is tangible, taste, sight, sound, touch and you can hear it.......... In my opinion science can dig and dig all they want, more power to them...... It gives them something to do, us something to read and study........ Science is mans way of doing what the Bible has already done.... go in peace........ God bless

If you were to believe that there was a god of creation then that entity would have to also be a scientist.

Aren't evolutionists using scientific principles and interpreting data to make science fit THEIR beliefs?
