Think of all of the otherwise good people out there who have done horrible things in the name of religion. These people really thought what they were doing was moral and right, but they were supremely deluded. Every Christian I know loves virtue and peace and love itself, but because of a few verses in their book, and greedy politicizing religious leaders, they can do so much evil in this world. They have so much faith in their book, that they will condemn others (although they say they don't), even when they have NO IDEA what it's like to be other people and undergo the struggles that other people have. Sigh, I really need to go to sleep. Anyway, does anyone else feel this way? BTW I know I'm generalizing, if you happen to be one of the more enlightened Christians, this doesn't apply to you. =)

1-bad things can be done by people no matter which religion they are or are not.
2-some people act without any moral guide to begin with...... and do the wrong thing.
3-i condemn no one (and im a christian)
4-what do you mean by "other people" and their "struggles"......... are you saying only non-christians struggle or that the struggles of non christians are somehow too complex or alien for a christian to understand........ enlighten me here, i especially dont get this last point.

Religion does not make me sad...
It is the people who are using it for their own means in a meaningless, dogmatic way that makes it really sad.
Regarding the quote from "Muslim 1": You mean to say that just b'cos most people are not Muslims they will go to hell. huh?
This is the kind of ignorance that makes religion sad.

The key to answering your question is the word Religion. Yes, religion makes people sad, including you, including me, because religion is about rules and about showing off how well one follows said rules. Jesus Christ came so that we would abandon religion and instead seek a relationship with God. Lots of Christians have forgotten this, and that's why we have so many wounded people walking around wondering why God doesn't love them. You can go to sleep and rest, though, because this is God's problem, and He will handle it with mercy, compassion and justice.
