In order to know God did not exist, I would have to be God.

If I were God, I would have to insist on a code of morality, in order to protect my creation from the corruption that it experiences from sin.

Your question is non-sequitur

Remember, Christians--this is a WHAT IF question. As in, pretend science has answered every last question and PROVED God didn't exist. WHAT IF. As in, if you are just going to answer and say, "But, but...but God DOES exist!" you're a) missing the point and b) shouldn't even be answering the question because that isn't an answer.

=)

As for me, of course I'd be moral. I was moral when I was Catholic, Jewish, Agnostic, and now I have very personal beliefs...but I'm still moral. I'll always be.

For a brief second I thought, "Hm, well, then that means when we die nothing happens...so why go on living?" But I couldn't do that to all the people that care about me, so I'd live as long as I could anyway and try to make the world a better place.

Religion does not equal morality. BEING HUMAN equals morality. People have done more immoral things in God's name than have been done by Atheists. Furthermore, religion breeds intolerance and fear, not love as it was intendid. Personally, I think Atheists have it right with the whole "Think for yourself instead of letting others decide for you" thing. And honestly, most of the Atheists I know are nicer than the Christians.

This is a crazy question. I don't believe in God but I'm a very moral person - I love my family, my friends. I work hard and don't call in sick when I'm not. I don't lie or cheat on my taxes. I give money to charity and try to help people who are less fortunate than me. You don't need God to do these things. For me, it's just common sense. A person who would give up being a moral person just because they discovered there was no God, was probably doing bad things anyway, just trying to hide it form others or even scarier, denying it in themselves.

Funny you ask this. A few days ago, I was thinking about how much Jesus has done for me in my life and what I wouldve done without Him. I imagined if all of a sudden it was clear there was no God, what would I think about all the years I have invested in Him and what would I do for my future years. I decided that I wouldnt regret for a minute the time I had spent with Him, nor I would really change at all the way I live my life. He is soo good, and I am at total peace.

I would definitely still be a moral person. I'm Christian and to tell the truth, sometimes I have doubts that God is real. But my big brother past away and he has to be somewhere.

That's impossible to answer, because all morality is subjective, apart from instinctive behavior such as love of your children, etc. And since I would refuse to accept any such "proof", it's a mute point anyhow. But a good question to pose.

I would carry on as a good moral person because I believe in treating other people kindly.

As truthfully as possible. No problem.

It is NOT possible for me to even IMAGINE that the one true God isn't real and existing in my daily life. Just simply not possible.

I would choose to believe in my god anyways. Even if he/she doesn't exist. It is still good having a god in my life.

my god didn't dictate what morals and ethics I should have. I decided those and then decided to have a god too.

I wish no harm to others and I would want others to be happy above myself. Even if I do believe in Karma and Fate, I would want others to benefit before me. I'm a supporter. I wish and want the best. Seeing others smile, puts a smile on my face.
Even if God didn't exist, I would want this.
