Good Question!!! The manifold ( many sided ) wisdom of God. Every word, verse, chapter, the whole bible has many different sides or revelations or layers of understanding. Thus there are different views. Let's take a few views of let's say an elephant. There are four people looking at an elephant for the first time. One is looking at the left side, another is looking at the right side. One is looking at the head facing it, and the other is looking at the rear facing it. Whew that's a thought. None of them can see the elephant from any other perspective then their own. I know you are catching on. The one in front sees a trunk, two tusks, two eyes, and maybe two ears, but no tail and no side. Fill in the blank for the other three. God's word is many sided and people are given different revelations from the Holy Spirit as they read. Does that mean they are wrong? No it doesn't. If it is written in the scripture and He shows it to them then who is to judge them wrong. We are to respect man's relationship to God and divine things.

The christians say that you are saved when you accept Christ into your heart by faith. Because salvation is the goal of the faith, it doesn't come when you start out in the faith.

The salvation results when an unholy (sinful) person is made holy by the work of the Holy spirit. This is called sanctification.
We are all called to be sanctified and therefore holy, which results in you being able to enter heaven by your spirit.
Christians fail to understand this vital truth.
The real work of the Christian faith is the battle that occurs when you fight against Satan who keeps your spirit in bondage. The goal of the faith is to have a liberated spirit which is free of sin and can ascend into heaven.
This is the true teaching of Christ.
The saints are those people who have achieved sanctification resulting in salvation.
Jesus was the first apostle and therefore the first saint. So was St Paul and all the other apostles of the bible.
Although you have to stop sinning in order to be saved, you have to understand that true salvation is something which occurs when you stop sinning and you are spiritually cleansed of evil spirits which bind your spirit from previous sinful activites. Read the non-canonical gospels and you will start to get the big picture.

Sadly, not all Christians read or study their bibles as they should. The latter part of your question is, "or is it ok to do things against the bible as long as you intend to repent?"

This is what the Bible says, not me or any other Christian on this forum.
Heb 10:26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.

Here's a good point. We may not all agree on the semantics. But true Christianity says there is one way to God, to heaven, to eternal life, and that is through the atoning blood of Jesus, through His obedience.
He was born of a virgin, lived on this earth as a man, died at the hands of the Roman soldiers, was laid in a borrowed tomb, rose from the dead the third day to prove His claims and is now in heaven as our high priest.
All who claim to be Christian are not Christians.

What you're seeing is the result of two things.

First, there are many Christian denominations where each denomination is "different" based upon some set of religious issues. These differences result in the "different views".

Second, there are some Christians who don't take the time and effort to READ the Word of God but rely on what they HEAR instead. Some don't study to grow their spirit and simply don't understand what the Holy Bible is meant to teach them.

"certain verse hold more strength than others"? In my opinion, certainly. The covenant of the New Testament is of ultimate importance since it is the bond between God and man, and how salvation of the eternal soul can occur.

"is it okay to do things against the bible as long as you intend to repent"? No, certainly not. Premeditated sin is never okay.

While it would be a prudent move for all "christians to read the bible from cover to cover, I feel that perhaps they for the most part do not. Most of the scripture that many christians use to make points on here or in other situations, Is scripture that they have heard repeatedly from their church and their religious leaders. Religion works on a simple princible, If any given religion wants to "teach there flock " that a paticular point of veiw is valid, They will use "specific" scripture's to prove the point. and at the same time, they will avoid scripture that paints whatever paticular point in a different light.

Every Christian knows and agrees salvation comes from accepting the atonement this throughout the Bible.
Every Christian knows and understands sin is a trangression of God's law.
Christians are not under law but by faith made free and made new and in agreement with God's righteousness.
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God the answer is Jesus Christ, the atonement.
All who claim to be Christian are not Christians.

No not all Christians study their Bibles.
>Sin is Sin no matter how we try and justify or are blinded or self-deceived, we ALL fall short of the glory of God and because He is a merciful Father, He has given us His Holy Spirit to convict us of our sin and of our need for confession and repentance.
>We are supposed to be doers of the word and not hearers.
>The Bible is the Living Word of God, possibly different people on different levels of spiritual growth understand some verses in the way they are supposed at that stage of their walk.
Like in kindergarten we learn 8 basic colors, shapes,
ABC's,.....simple concepts.
Hopefully by the time you have graduated you will have learned more complex and deeper insight about the spectrum of color, hues, shades, depth, etc............
>Sometimes we are in need of teachers who are annointed for this purpose.
Pray for each other that we continue to grow and learn what is good, and what is pleasing to our Father.
>No it is not OK to sin with the intent of later repenting, that would be presumptious.

learn Bibles are a wast of time. the clarification you do no longer comprehend the meaning of many verses and parables is because of the fact Sacred Scripture must be examine and interpreted contained in the gentle of the comparable Spirit by whom it replaced into written.

right - there are so many, because for centuries whoever was in charge edited it to suit their ideas, by either eliminating books, adding books, editing verses, etc.

there are too many classifications of "christians" to say...just like judaism, islam, etc. Each religion has fundamentalist nutjobs to casual followers.

just follow the "do unto others" golden rule (which is in every major religion in some way or another) and you will be fine. the rest is just overkill and is what eventually leads to war.

the Bible is a continual study...... we grow in knowledge as we grow in faith, we grow in faith as we grow in age....... God expects us to continually grow....... that is the problem in a nut shell, people think , and this is just MY humble opinion, that just because they have read the Bible once or twice, listened to everything their preacher, pastor, priest, has told them, that they know ALL there is to know..... and that is just sad to me........ the Bible is a continual revelation..... every time I read it and study I discern something new...... I discover something else...... I realize what the point is that God is making...... or not making...... I try to find out what some major words meant in Greek or Hebrew, because some got lost in translation...... People fail to realize the Bible is FOR ALL, NOT just for a few...... Those who have the faith of a mustard seed, and know Jesus as the Savior, can and will with prayer and study and HEART open sincerity will find that greater and greater discernment come to them as time goes on......... go in peace.......... God bless
