I was watching Montel Williams and he has Sylvia Browne on his show periodically. I live in the Bay Area (as does she) so I've heard about her for years. Does anyone think Sylvia Browne is for real?

Also, do you know if any of her predictions ever came true?

You ever notice they just seem to know the answer to every question? Like, for instance, someone who is allegedly not gay and never had a gay thought in their life suddenly knows without doubt and with no hope of being swayed that "it's a choice". Huh. That's interesting. Anyone else think so? I wonder if that's an "inspired" answer? I think we may be overlooking humanity's greatest minds when we just openly disregard these people. Obviously, they have all the answers, right?

Do we really have free will if we either completely follow God and his Son which would put the holy spirit in us so to say, wouldnt Father, Son, and holy spirt be controlling our lives. And if on the opposite end if we did not follow God then it is said you are working for the devil and he controls you. So either way it is almost as if you have no free will?

I have had sever mental and physical abuse by my parents when I was younger. Now I seem to have personality problems, depression, and an over all sense that I am alone and Im some kind of distaster. Im always depressed now, and im a mother and wife that cannot find happyness and I find myself going down hill and not being able to function normally.. I want to seek professional help for but I cannot afford to do this on my own. Could I hold my parents responsible for this and either sue them or ask that they pay for my professional help? What is your opinions?

On the aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in Washington DC, are displayed two words: Laus Deo. No one can see these words. In fact, most visitors to the monument are totally unaware they are even there and for that matter, probably couldn't care less. Once you know Laus Deo's history, you will want to share this with everyone you know. I do.

But these words have been there for many years; they are 555 feet, 5.125 inches high, perched atop the monument, facing skyward to the Father of our nation, overlooking the 69 square miles which comprise the District of Columbia, capital of the United States of America. Laus Deo! Two seemingly insignificant, un-noticed words. Out of sight and, one might think, out of mind, but very meaningfully placed at the highest point over what is the most powerful city in the most successful nation in the world.

So, what do those two words, in Latin, , possibly mean? Very simply "Praise be to God!"

When the cornerstone of the Washington Monument was laid on July 4th, 1848 deposited within it were many items including the Holy Bible presented by the Bible Society. Praise be to God! Such was the discipline, the moral direction, the spiritual mood given by the founder and first President of our unique democracy ..."One Nation, Under God." I am awed by Washington's prayer for America. Have you never read it?

Here are the details from the report:
"Prosecutors have said Benoit, 40, strangled his wife with a cord, used a choke hold to strangle his 7-year-old son, placed Bibles next to the bodies and hanged himself on a piece of exercise equipment the weekend of June 22."

What is the significance of this? Was he attempting to follow the biblical example of Abraham with his son Isaac? Or is this schizophrenic-type behavior normal for bible-lovers?
Here's the article: http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news?slug=ap-wrestlerdead&prov=ap&type=lgns
Your opinion, please.

If yes! why! There are no proof of them. It is hypothesis either panspermia or Exogenesis.
How can you believe in something that has no proof of just a hypothesis, and refuse to believe in something such as a deity?

The eye will see want it wants to see. What does your eye want to see? If we limit our self to things that have proof! we will never discover what is behind what the eye can see. Not everything must have proof, and some have proof, and we are yet to uncover them. Ever considered that fact!

Here are some fun facts that many of you may not have known:

-Atheists are not allowed to join boy scouts, even though they get funded by the government and get special land use

-In a national poll conducted by Minnesota researchers, found that atheists are the least trusted minority in the U.S.

-In 7 different states, atheists are not allowed to run for governmental or civil office (state senate, representative, court judge, etc.)

-In those same states, atheists are not allowed to testify in court at all. (Arkansas, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, SC, NC, and Texas)

-"No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God." -George Bush Sr.

-It's still illegal in many states to buy alcohol or buy a car on Sundays, because of someone elses religious beliefs.

-The words "Under God" were added to the pledge of alligence in 1954. Before, no such words existed in the pledge.

to see if reincarnation really works!

ok it sounds bad, but there volunteers, so

like

ok, here it goes
get about a million people,-monitor them for awhile, then systematically kill them all while making people try to make babys where they all fell, and maybe some should will drift into the new pregnant women’s fetus or something .

no this is not evil genocide, just an experiment for the scientific atheist watchers.
Have some way to tell weather of not the baby is the last person, give me ideas so I can improve on this thought.

i want to persuade people to make a cult and make this happen, though it wont be a million, more like maybe a few hundred.

about the feelings of those who lost loved ones in that same incident? I mean, when you say God went out of His way to save you, aren't you saying He didn't give a damn about the ones He didn't save? I think it's kind of egotistical to imagine that you are so special to God that He went out of His way to save precious little 'ol you, but He couldn't be bothered to save anyone else! Isn't that offensive?

Assuming you were raised and unsuccessfully indoctrinated into any given religion, how did your relatives respond to your atheism? Are they accepting or do they give you a hard time.

When I'm with family, I am forced to avoid the topic of religion, or the discussions get pretty hostile.
