For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then shall he render unto every man according to his deeds.

1. Hunger
2. Jealousy
3. Pride
4. Hatred
5. Love
6. Comfort (Freedom of pain)
7. ______________

(example: When I was born hunger was my prime motivator. At age 6 I started feeling that my worth was based on how fast I could run compared with my peers: Ergo Jealousy motivated me to "be better than them". At age 12 I learned that we could all be proud of whatever we accomplished - Ergo Pride was my main motivator to study hard and exercise hard. - well I am sure you get my drift.)

At what age did each of the above become your "prime" motivator?

My 7&8 yo children have been asking questions about God that I'm not sure about. The first ? is if God made Adam and Eve, who made God? If Jesus is God's son and God sent him to earth who was his mommy in heaven? How is God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit the same? I am just not sure of how to answer these questions. Please only honest and sincere answers. I really want to teach my children correctly. :o)

I could say the same for any religious text, or work of fiction for that matter; if the only proof that the Bible is true is based on believing that God wrote it, then logically it is just a book. Why don't Christians understand this logic is circular- "The Bible is truth, because God wrote it; And I know that God wrote it, because it says so in the Bible, which is the Truth...."

Today my oldest son got hurt on the job and went to the emergency room. He has a concussion, but he'll be fine.
Where the problems lies is that he already has friends telling him he should sue his boss. He hasn't said he would, but he is certainly entertaining the idea.
For religious reasons, I believe law suits should be the exception; NOT the rule. It was not a life or death injury and he'll be able to support himself just fine, so if it were me, I would probably not sue; but it's not my life so I've kept my mouth shut so far.
However, I'm just not sure if I should break my silence and tell him what I think, or just leave him to make his own choice. He could end up screwing himself out of the best job he's ever had, and end up with little or no money anyway.
What do you think?

I thought this was beautiful.... what do you think of it?

"Before time was, there was The One; The One was all, and all was The One. And the vast expanse known as the universe was The One, all-wise, all-prevading, all-powerful, eternally changing.
And space moved. The One molded energy into twin forms, equal but opposite, fashioning the Goddess and God from The One and of The One.
The Goddess and God stretched and gave thanks to The One, but darkness surrounded them. They were alone, solitary save for The One.
So They formed energy into gasses into suns and planets and moons; They sprinkled the universe with whirling globes and so all was given shape by the hands of the Goddess and God. Light arose and the sky was illuminated bya billion suns. And the Goddess and God, satisfied by their works, rejoiced and loved, and were one. From their union sprang the seeds of all life, and of the human race, so that we might achieve incarnation upon the Earth.

Are we to be kind and understanding with a False prophet, or are we supposed to behave as Jesus did with the money collecters in his temple? Or some way else?

Biblical examples would be great.

Note..I am not asking about dealing with individuals...I am asking a question regarding false religion, and oughtrigit deception.

How can anyone choose whom to be sexually attracted to?
I mean, do these people that insist on saying it is a choice wake up every morning saying"well I think today I will choose to be heterosexual", what kind of idiocy is that?
And for those that say that being gay is not a choice but acting upon is,and they should not do it, why should they be deprived of LOVE, because a religion said so?That is complete BS!.
