I don't think they need the lighter fluid anymore. Once you get the fire going, it just kind of sustains itself. Also, Satan switched over to more environmentally friendly natural gas last year, to help cut down on the greenhouse gasses and all. I hear he's still looking into a heat pump system for even bigger savings!

snort...you think of God's speaking some straight forward gas fueled fire? What if he's speaking with regard to the middle of this planet...the area scientists call the "outer center"...the area featuring molten iron and is the source of this planet's magnetic field. What if hell isn't something better than what needless to say happens to a individual that no longer has the form/mass/in spite of required to stand up to the magnetic pull of that liquid iron? What if in spite of area of you that survives the dying of your actual physique is needless to say pulled into the fiery pit of this earth's center till God intervenes and supply a manner so which you will break freed from that rigidity?

Coal burns at 14 pounds per minute.
The 'lighter fluid' must remain at 212 degrees farenheit.
Do the math.

Well it all depends on the area of hell (i.e. in meters cubed). then it would depend on how deep of a layer of coal is spread out. lets say a few feet deep, which would burn solid for at least a few days or so. then factor in the cost of replacing that huge amount of coal. since the devil is most likely keen, and runs hell efficiently...i'd say he might have quit with the fossil fuels and moved on to cleaner burning alternatives.

Maybe we ought to file a class action suit against hell for polluting the atmosphere! We could shut the place down.

It doesn't take any energy to sustain Hell or Heaven, because these two places exist outside of the physical universe, and therefore, inescapable, indestructable and eternal.

No coal and lighter fluid needed in Hell. It keeps burning on the bodies of unbelievers.

its fueled by hatred. GOD created hell when he casted satan down to it. From what i read, its like a wall. They also use the fire for torture. Anywhere else in hell its total blackness.

I know you didnt really wanted a serious answer but I figured, what the hell.

EDIT: i didnt want to do any math!!!!! ;p
