This is a topic I learned in my ethics class.
A personal bias is where you view everything based upon your own sense of right and wrong. For instance, most people that are very firm in their religious or non-religious views or very firm believers in their own moral code will base right and wrong on those concepts.
A few examples
Same sex marriage is one concept where people on the opposing side of this issue consider the other side wrong.
The abortion issue is also an excellent example of personal bias. You are either Pro-life vs Pro-Choice, or you are Pro-Choice vs Anti-choice.
The Death Penalty - you view this based on where you stand on the issue of whether its right or wrong to kill a convicted person.

Everyone has bia's. But for me personally, because I don't believe in evolution, I can shun away anything that has to do with evolution because I don't believe it, when in fact their is some (and I hold tight to the fact that some is not all) truth to evolution.

and also, pretty much those people who take whatever they are spoon fed in terms of religion, politics, etc. just because their family told it to them. And after hearing it, they will fight to the death that it is right, when sometimes if they thought about it they would find that they actually thought it was wrong.
