What do people think of a man who likes sex with women and only women, is this allowed in the US and in Christianiaty? It seems like only the homos get any attention, are we an endangered species?

Jesus was here over 2000 years ago and is still having more of an impact on mankind then anyone ever has. Do you think he might be God?

It seems to me that no one really know much about their own religion. Only what they hear their precher say. Why does no one actually study it?

At times we become so busy earning a living that we neglect our own personal devotions. Sometimes we become so heavily engaged even in the service and mission of our church that we lose resolve and start to rely upon other means for success, deciding that there are more palatable routes to purity than the somber Beatitudes. We justify our actions by telling ourselves that these are merely small or temporary deviations. And we trangress.

The Holy Bible says:
" I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him".
---Hosea 14:4

In the biblical story of the Prodigal Son, who left home for the allurements of a life of sin and pushed by the pain of hobbled hopes and soured relations. God doesn't give up on the wayward son who finds himself in a pigpen predicament. He reaches out to him in the pigpen and points him back to the place that he left. The Lost son replies "I will arise and go".

or any other god? i mean, it seems that atheists just ignore it.

but if the tables were turned, would christians protest against it?

The answer is of course no, Jesus said we would be persecuted as he was. If you are a Christian you should be against the atheists and call them out, not fraternize with them!

1st off i am not trying to offend anyone.

anyway, i was in my history class and we were talking about different religions and christianity came up, of course. anyway, from what i understand the trinity is the same as what the hindus have. they have three separate "beings" that are all one, but for some reason they are considered polytheistic, but christians are not. why? the trinity is the same thing, three separate beings as one. i am just wondering why is there some huge difference.

and please don't post any Bible quotes that won't answer the question. because i already know baout one that talks about jesus being the son of god and stuff. and i do know that all christians don't believe the trinity, but many do

I need help with this one. I do belive that God will give you answers to help you solve your problems, sometimes through a thought that may suddenly pop in your head or you will be directed to a verse in the bible. I have been having a problem that is tearing me apart for the past few months and have continually asked God for help and for a sign as to whether I will get what I've asked for or for comfort or guidance. One day at my workplace (I work at a resort) I met a very nice elderly couple & chatted with them for a while and felt great after meeting them. The next day I went to their room again and they were not there, but on top of their refreshment center, which is what I was checking, their bible was open and one verse was marked in parentheses. It was John 4:35 which reads "Don't you say, 'In four more months the harvest will be here'? I'm telling you to look and see that the fields are ready to be harvested." I feel that this was meant for me, but...

American Muslimah just blocked me for my answer to this question.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgLwpaEbKdHa.rYOHky9s9nty6IX?qid=20070830094257AA64ouE

My answer was:
"The same problem is found in the Christian Bible. Since there are so many contradictory messages, you can cherry-pick the passages and support the theology that suits you.
There are other passages in the Quran that promise great rewards to martyrs who die defending Islam. Those are the passages that suicide bombers dwell on."

I find the idea of being blocked rather amusing, but I'm curious: Do you think my answer was insulting or objectionable? Would you block someone for an answer like that? Is this a good way to demonstrate the love and tolerance of a religion?

Okay, Satan was sent to Hell for the evil deeds he did, I understand that part. He's bad, God is good, and they clearly can't stand the sight of each other. Black and white.

If someone sins or worships Satan and goes to Hell, why would Satan punish them? Wouldn't he be happy that they followed him and his path? Why would he punish anyone, when punishing a sinner would mean he was working for God? So is Satan working for God, or is Hell something radically different than we're all thinking?

Anyway, this has just been on mind lately from conversations with my fiance. If you can answer, that great and thank you-- but please no flying at me to convert me, okay guys? This is question, not a fight.

Who said this and what movie is it from ( I know wrong category but I post here more than any other place)

"people laughed at louis armstrong when he said he was going to go to the moon, and look now he is up there laughing at them"

-LOL, this movie was pretty funny, if there was not so much crudeness.

Why is it, even given the universal truth that ALL things change, that Christian's dispute evolution, especially given many examples of current changes in the human body.

Why is it God placed an "appendix" in us that does nothing? We know what everything does but can only speculate, using other "primates" as examples (who also have an appendix which WORKS). What about Wisdom teeth? Is that another joke of Gods, to place extra teeth in our mouths that simply do not fit?

So, if evolution cannot occur, then all species will remain the same which contradicts the one truth of "all things change." Why is it that this truth does not apply to us, since we are of ALL things?

I know certain Christians apply Paul literally and believe the men are supposed to assume the leadership role at home and in church and the women are to be submissive.

I can see how it can work if the woman is already a submissive person and prefers her husband to lead and the husband not only prefers the leadership role but is CAPABLE of being a good leader to begin with. But what if the wife is the more capable leader? How does it work in the case where the woman is a natural born leader, assertive, descisive and organized and the man is more laid back? Do they still have to squeeze into that model of Christian family life even if it is not in sync with their comfort level and personaility traits?

I am asking respectfully not as a means to find fault or anything. I am a therapist and married for 25 years. My husband and I work as a partnership. He doesn't get to lead or have the final say just because he has a penis. He defers to me and I to him depending on the situation.

"arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction. Jealous and proud of it, a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak, a vindictive bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser, a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully"

What do you think about this statement?

btw I do not believe in this statement and I am not an atheist

I can give u the Islamic proofs of God:
I'll start with his miracles and blessings for human race,
let's assume that the human race was created by chance!!!
What If the chance created us blind, would we survive?
What If the chance created us with no ears, would we survive?
What If the chance created us with no fingers or no hands or no hearts or no lungs or no tongue or with one leg or one hand or one eye!!!
Well such a creation (the human being) won't ever be created without an all knowing God...
Let's move to nature,
What If the chance created no sun, would we be?
What If the chance created no moon, would we be?
What If the chance created no gravity, would we be?
What If the chance created no FRICTION, now would we be?
What If the chance created no Oxygen or Hydrogen or so, would we be?
And so and so and so,
I can give u millions of reasons, but I guess u get my point...
imagine one thing goes wrong, we simply wouldn't be, right?!!!
But as we can see, God created us, made us the strongest species, gave us the ability to live, he knew what to create exactly to preserve our species for a very long time.
Then he deserves that u identify him as the only one God (the creator) the one who deserves to be honored more than else...

Some of u might say: "alright, if God really existed, he would have ended the wars and suffering and so…", Alright, imagine that God created a perfect world where people love each other, and all of them just believe in him and do good…
Then, I would say, "What a stupid God he is???!!!"
It's also a stupid act of a God to interfere whenever he finds anything wrong. He creates a whole universe just to make one boring sequence???!!!
In the Islamic point of view, God created us, gave us proofs that he exists, and gave us the ability to choose between right and wrong. Then we go either to heaven or Hell.

Now if you still have doubts, just mail me...
I can just answer whatever u want...
May God lead u to the right way to believe in him and pay him back for what he did to make u a great, wonderful, glorious species…
