I got to thinking about something, and came to the realization that even though proof is not needed to claim something doesn't exist. The claims within that need proof.

If you are going to make the claim that "God does not exist is a fact" the burden of showing me every test ever done, every artifact ever found, every book ever written, and every piece of conceivable evidence is verifiable as false rests with you, and until you can do that the correct position for any TRUE logical thinking is that WE DO NOT KNOW whether or not God exsists.

[Example] the bible is false, well prove it there are inaccuracies, but there are also very precise and detailed of events that HAVE been verified to be true also

If you believe the scripture is true, then you must subordinate all other sources to second place. So, if science seems to contradict Scripture, then it must be science that is wrong. Since no man was there at the beginning, we can only guess what happened. But since God was there, and he told us what happened, we should believe God, not men.

CHRISTIANS: do you agree?

LIberal Christians who try to read the Bible not-literally: what do you say about this???

When they were there they asked the Holy Father the pope to bless them but he refused but they insisted so at last Pius IX gave in so he blessed them with the following Latin words:
"Benedicaris ab illo in cuius honore cremaberis, Amen"
The three vicars went home very satisfied.

This one always makes me laugh.

I am not sexist but reading Genesis almost suggests without Eve we would better off.

Anyone else agree or disagree?

I heard an argument against science being just a guess that it constantly corrects itself, isn't this better than something that never does (apart from the new testament, but 2000 years guys, change the record)

I received my email verse this morning & this is what I got, please feel free to share but please don't slam. Pretend God is the person on earth you really really love & wouldn't want to hurt their feelings: Grandma, Mom,Dad, wife, child, best friend, lover etc. Now pretend it is Grandma &you really love her. You go over to her house and she tells you she has brand new towels in the bathroom & please don't wipe your dirty hands on them . So you eat chocolate & then wipe your hands on her towel. She comes out of the bathroom crying, & you feel just AWFUL that you have hurt her so. God feels like your Grandma when you sin against Him. Does Jesus still feel the nails, every time we fail ? 1st verse
They tell me Jesus died
For my transgressions
That he paid that price a long, long time ago
When he gave his life for me
On a hill called Calvary
But there's something else I want to know

Chorus
Does he still feel the nails
Every time I fail
Can he hear the crowd cry "Crucify" again
Am I causing him pain
Then I know I've got to change
I just can't bear the thought of hurting him.

2nd verse
It seems that I'm so good at breaking promises
And I treat his precious grace so carelessly
But each time he forgives
What if he re-lives
The agony He felt on that tree

Chorus 1x

Holy, holy
Holy is the Lord
Holy Holy
Holy is the Lord

Do you still feel the nails
Every time I fail
Have I crucified you Jesus with my sins
Oh I'm tired of playing games
I really want to change
I never want to hurt you again

Holy, Holy
Holy is the Lord
Holy, Holy
Holy is the Lord

or even pray to and read the word of God?

Simon t said this to me when I answered the question below

"Edit:
Tigerlily. You are wrong. You guys do not worship the same god(s). You just happen to give your god(s) the same name."

So if we don't worship the same God as Christians than who do Catholics worship?

Yeah, He probably wouldn't accept but would they try? How much? Would the promotional sneakers be basketball, football, tennis, walking-on-water?

Yes , indeed they are. They will help You anytime you ask them. And I will prove to You on this site by the Christian answerer.

So, Christian, prove to them that I am right. OK.

You see I posted a question lately asking " Why do christian lie about hell", it is about inviting the Christian to visit Hell, for it is a beautifull and wonderfull place and not as what they thought. But none take up the offer and now my job as an agent of Lord Lucifer is at stake.

My Lord who is kind and mercifull gives me a second chance . If I could bring just one Christian in this forum to visit the glorious and beautifull side of Hell ( theres two side ) I will be a confirm agent for His Kingdom. So I know that it is easy because all of you in this site are the nicest people and you will help me in my mission.

So any one of you who is willing to come with me to Hell for a visit please respond immediately. You will have a pleasant stay there. You all deserve to visit Hell

On the morning of September 1, 2007 --
2,000 year old meteors are going to rain on the earth.

The bible says "Stars will fall from the sky" before the end of days.

Notice how these stars were formed the year Jesus was born?
Sheer coincidence?

Also, science has found a huge gaping hole in the universe.

Is this finally going to be the return of Jesus in the near future?

Note: I'm not saying he is coming back on 9/1/07
but I feel we are very close to the end times.

Is this biblical prophecy?

To see the logic of leaving God out of the equation, consider this:

Frog + Princess's kiss = Handsome prince (fairy tale).
Frog + Millions of years = Handsome prince (theory of evolution).

By definition, no one knows what lies outside their tiny circle of knowledge. Don't be like a blind person trying to convince himself that because he has never seen, everyone else claiming to see must be mistaken.

Will you open your mind and agree?

Ok, heres another question to those who follow Islam. I am going to keep it in the same respectful line as I did in my earlier question. If I receive the answers to this one the way I did my earlier one, you all honor yourselves well, so here it goes..................

With all of the negative press these past years, when attempting to explain what your religion is, your practices, etc., to the uninformed...or curious..., what do you think is the biggest misunderstanding, and how do you go about clearing it up? And once you do so do you think you have educated them.

Great <-- Greater <-- Greatest: twice fallen Baby-lon
Great --> Greater --> Greatest: twice risen with Christ

Christ isn't seated left (in Moses' Seat) nor standing right (as Jesus) in plural divided heavens on high, but seated right in united heaven: "higher than the heavens". So then it's as if Christ is twice risen fwd to reconcile what's twice fallen bwd.

In John 8 we have twice stooping & twice rising up

Which things are "allegory" and "mystery" to solve

Babylon "is fallen, is fallen": Isaiah...Revelation
Babylon "the Great", is twice fallen bwd to Great

Great speaks of OT Law (Moses' Law)
Greater speaks of NT Law (Jesus' Law)
Greatest speaks of no law law, only grace.

Before I turned my life over to God, I was a moral person. If the gas station attendent gave me $5 extra I would return it to him. I wouldn't lie or hurt anyone. But my standards were my own: I decided what was good and what was bad and acted accordingly.
When I began reading the Bible and doing what Jesus required of me I found that my heart changed.
One of the most bitter times of my life was during a divorce. My husband and I seperated 2 weeks after my father's death. At Christmas time we had an arguement about visitation rights for the kids. He swore at me, I swore back, and then I saw the look on my son's face. Though I wanted to snarl and return the anger directed toward me I asked God to help me control myself. Throughout the divorce I refused to return bitter words. End result? After 4 years we were able to reconcile and our family is back together. During our time apart God worked in both our hearts, and I give thanks to Him daily. Has God changed your heart?

I have heard many people suggest that atheists should just leave believers alone and not challenge their views, usually stating that they're harmless.
My personal feeling is that I will be proud if I manage to change just one person from a believer to an atheist. I think it's our duty as keepers of the rational intellectual advancement of humanity that we spread the word of reason.
I think we need to be proactive: we need atheists to become teachers, to make sure kids don't get brainwashed. We need atheist leaders, to make sure society's key decisions are based on reason rather than bias. etc
Religion may not be evil in and of itself, but it requires people to give up the most precious thing that makes humans different (but not that different) from animals. Our ability for logical deduction and reason. By doing nothing, we allow this to be replaced with fantasy, which distracts us from the reality that we need to build for ourselves as a species.

What are your views?
