I received my email verse this morning & this is what I got, please feel free to share but please don't slam. Pretend God is the person on earth you really really love & wouldn't want to hurt their feelings: Grandma, Mom,Dad, wife, child, best friend, lover etc. Now pretend it is Grandma &you really love her. You go over to her house and she tells you she has brand new towels in the bathroom & please don't wipe your dirty hands on them . So you eat chocolate & then wipe your hands on her towel. She comes out of the bathroom crying, & you feel just AWFUL that you have hurt her so. God feels like your Grandma when you sin against Him. Does Jesus still feel the nails, every time we fail ? 1st verse
They tell me Jesus died
For my transgressions
That he paid that price a long, long time ago
When he gave his life for me
On a hill called Calvary
But there's something else I want to know

Chorus
Does he still feel the nails
Every time I fail
Can he hear the crowd cry "Crucify" again
Am I causing him pain
Then I know I've got to change
I just can't bear the thought of hurting him.

2nd verse
It seems that I'm so good at breaking promises
And I treat his precious grace so carelessly
But each time he forgives
What if he re-lives
The agony He felt on that tree

Chorus 1x

Holy, holy
Holy is the Lord
Holy Holy
Holy is the Lord

Do you still feel the nails
Every time I fail
Have I crucified you Jesus with my sins
Oh I'm tired of playing games
I really want to change
I never want to hurt you again

Holy, Holy
Holy is the Lord
Holy, Holy
Holy is the Lord

Well said. I believe God is hurt when we sin against Him.

I don't think He feels pain for the wrongs we do over and over. I don't think he's real happy with us. However Christ said there was only one important commandment: "To love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might, and to love your neighbor as you love yourself." According to my belief, if we follow this, we cannot sin. We cannot break any of the ten commandments. I also believe we were given these rules so we do not destroy each other. Not to protect God's feelings. I have a lot more I would like to say, but I think this is already long enough.
may peace be with you

That was beautifuly put, what a lovely song. Yes God still feels the pain of our sins, in a heart that loves as deeply as He does, He is tender and his mercy is unfatomably, He is so in love with each of us, and we reject him, still spit on him and hammer the nails in with each new sin we choose to commit. I am so sorry Lord for ever having offended thee, grant me the grace to die before I ever sin again.

I am sure he is extrememely dissapointed and hurt, i also believe he knows what each one of us is capable of and deals with us in an independent manner. He is also a very forgiving and merciful god. Im sure he would love for us to get his plan, but we haven't got a clue. I believe god is love.

This is partially correct. God does feel pain when we sin, but he winces in self-inflicted pain. He realizes that his "intelligent design" is so messed up it produces so many sinners.
