I can't wait to burn forever with my idols like Blackbeard, Grigori Rasputin, Gene Roddenberry, and Douglas Addams. There'd be some interesting conversations going on for eternity. What about you?

It is not my intent to defend or an act in a manner that would discredit Christianity. My question is merely speculative, and all opinions are welcomed.

Let us imagine that Jesus was never worshiped, and Christianity was non existent. What do you think the state of our world would be in today. This also effects a variety of other religions, even Islam as Jesus played a large factor in their beliefs. The question I ask is of course vague, this is the reason I ask it because I haven't a clue what we would be like. Do you think that Christianity has served as a means towards the advancement of all societies, or a degradation of all societies?

It is well document fact that the Discovery Institute and it supporters are knowingly and intentionaly using lies to promote their agenda, raise funds and garner public support while shaping public opinion. How can this be a just thing for Christians to do.

It is all well documented in their own Guide the Wedge Strategy. Infact they have a written machievellian strategy.

Why the Episcopalians do not sing carols before sundown on December 24th, and will sing carols right up until Epiphany, at least two weeks after the rest of America has abandoned them?

So im not a scientist, and not usually the type of conspiracy creating crazy person either. But if humans really evolved from apes, it is to my knowledge, and frankly just common sense that apes would not exist anymore. There is no HARD evidence, this theory is not a proven FACT. So why the hell was i taught this in school?

Remember Muslims going on rampage when the Danes did the Muhammad Cartoons, remember Muslims going on rampage when Salman rushdie said some of Muhammad's teachings are wrong.
Why do Muslims say the worship only God when it clearly shows they worship Muhammad.

Theists, how would you react if you found that the God you believe in was not true. This is not a statement saying your god is false, but rather a question of how you would get on with life. I would imagine most of you would do fine after some readjustment, but am curious what your standpoint is at this time. I believe I am aware of the the multiple factors involved with your beliefs, and I have been there before. I also understand that many of you will feel such a strong pull towards your faith that you think it to be impossible that your God could be false, I ask you just use your imagination and pretend such a thing were possible.

Thanks

So how could God become upset about anything He knew millions of years ago was going to happen? He also knew how it would be resolved. So how could he ever be upset?

The Crusades

The Inquisition

The witch trials

The murder and genocide of the natives of South America and subsequent forced conversions which then followed with the same in the North

Manifest Destiny

The KKK which had many Christian overtones

Christian White supremacy groups

Homophobia and general religious based hate of homosexuals which has lead to many attacks and even murder of homosexuals

Paranoia of change

Abortion clinic bombings and murders done by Christian extremists

The political wars over whether faith should be taught over science

And, well, you hopefully get the point.Because, frankly, I could write a book on the Christian "love" that has surrounded our history with a blanket of "righteousness".

So, I ask you, can you really say that Christianity is a loving religion and/or faith?

Someone answered another question of mine saying that if you quote the bible you have no thoughts of your own... that you're just brainwashed. The person was proud that all the opinions he has are his own.

But in truth, very rarely do people have opinions and ideas that are entirely original and completely their own. You and I pick up opinions and values and assumptions from everything around us - TV, movies, friends, family, newspaper, etc. Everything we encounter changes us and shapes our opinions...

The question is what *source* is changing your brain? A program that someone created to excite you and sell you things? A friend who likes to drink and party and pass out? A politician who is hungry for power?

I chose to allow the bible to change and mold me and how I think. I accept the truth therein as a guide to being a better person. I still have independent thought, but I choose to submit my will to God. Do you understand?
