The church canon is a form of church law. It's called ecclesiastical law. Many churches have their own canon, so the Roman Catholic canon is different from that of other churches.

There is also a Biblical canon that specifies which books are accepted as part of the Bible, and which books are not.

If it were actually a weapon, it'd be spelled "cannon".

In the Roman Cathoplic church a canon is a rule adopted by a council. there are various councils that vote on issue sin the catholic hierarchy.
In the epsicople/anglican communitry a cannon is a title conferred on some preists to signify a position in the hierarchy a little bit hihger than a priest, but certanily not a bishop or a Dean (the pastor of a cathederal).
Very loosley speaking a canon in the anglican community wqould be equivialnt to a Roman Catholic monsiegnor. Except in th ecase of Catholicism, monsiegnor is a title confferred on a priest directly by the Pope. Nopt that he is in any way equivlant to the Pope, but I dobt that the title of canon is directly confired on a priest by the archbishop of canterbury.

a canon:
look it up in wiki for more detail.
its a certain style of a song pattern.
There are some famous canons for children who you certainly know, like "row row row the boat..."
The first group starts to sing, then the second start delayed with the same, then the third, and harmonically it works out.
a church canon would be a text suited for ummmm...the church. (religios music, like a requim, a mess, etc..)
The most famous example would be Pachebles Canon.
(not sure his spelling)

Keep canon in upstairs choir box . If woman with ugly soul come by shoot down on her. She have little brain and think and move slow. Very rude and blasphemous. No pity no quarter. Let God figure out if worth saving or not.
