With all the love I can possibly convey to you, I want you to know that in no way do I want to offend you. I write my answer with the love of Christ in my heart.

Youth 2000 is predominantly a Catholic activity. I am sure it will be well attended and will meet the needs of many young people. As a Catholic, you should probably consider participating.

I am not a Catholic, I am a Baptist. Had you been a member of my church, you would not have missed the last 6 months. We have so much going on for young people that you would be there every Sunday, afraid that you would miss something. And then if you dropped off a week or two, someone would have called you to see why you had not been there. They would not pester you, but would attempt to see if there is a problem and determine if there was any way they could help you.

Having never been a Catholic, I really don't know what they offer in the area of Youth Activities.

My prayer for you is that you seek God's will for your life each day. He will direct your paths.

If I were you I would pray for God to set up a "divine appointment" where He will bring you in contact with someone who shares your commitment to living a genuine Christian life. I don't know anything about Youth 2,000 but if Christians are there then undoubtedly there will be tares mixed in with the wheat so you need to use prayer and discernment if you go there.

If you haven't been to church in 6 months it sounds like you are letting the accuser of the brethren keep you out of fellowship with the body of Christ. Your enemy the Devil like a roaring lion seeks whom he may devour. One way that a lion catches prey is to find an animal that has strayed from the flock and become an easy target.

I don't know if the church you attend is a church where God is at work or if it's like the church in Sardis that has a reputation of being alive but is really full of dead works. Perhaps you need to pray about finding a congregation where the Spirit of God is at work or maybe you just need to go back with a different attitude where you realize that there are tares among the wheat but there are also people who are in different stages in their walk with Christ and at different levels of sanctification.

You might want to listen to some great preaching in the mean time. Pastor Paul has the gift of encouragement and he knows how to teach the main and plain truths of Scripture in a practical and sometimes humorous fashion.
