They are all important. But to just name a few:
Isaiah 9:6
John 1:1-3
John 1:14
John 3:16
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Philippians 2:9-11
Psalm 91:11-12

Technically? Everything from "In the beginning...." to "Amen."

But if I was to say just one verse for someone, I think John 3:16 sums it up nicely.

"For God so loved the world..."

Galatians 2:20 is a good one as well. "I have been crucified with Christ..."

But the one that really speaks to me, because it's such a reflection of Jesus's love for us and His humanity, is the shortest verse in the Bible: John 11:35. "Jesus wept."

For me, as a Christian, the 3 most important verses are:

"Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
He must turn from evil and do good;
he must seek peace and pursue it." (1 Peter 3:8-11)

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'" (Matthew 25:40) (The Good Samaritan parable)

and last, but certainly not least:
"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. " (James 2:14-17)

John 3:16 sums up the New Testament best. As a Christian, I love Psalms 1.

it depends on my situation and the day...i believe each verse has special meaning and on how it applies at the time...it is called the living word for a reason as one verse can be read by many people and it mean something different to each one of us...His word is always true, so for most christians to pick just one certain verse would be next to impossible...

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

If we all respected and loved each other the way we are narcissisical abt ourselves imagine what the world wld be like. Take the writings in the bible as a handbook for living life and stop focussing on the little things like the name to call God by or whether to cross your self before prayer and just live in peace with each other.

John 3:16
No doubt about it.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
That is the Bible in a nutshell.

ALL of the WORD of GOD is important.

The verse I first heard was the seed planted in my heart John 3:16 " For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in HIM shalt not parish but have everlasting life.

A man once told this to his Sunday school class, and I over heard him say JESUS can change your life.

And I received this truth and Jesus has changed my life.
