Okay, Satan was sent to Hell for the evil deeds he did, I understand that part. He's bad, God is good, and they clearly can't stand the sight of each other. Black and white.
If someone sins or worships Satan and goes to Hell, why would Satan punish them? Wouldn't he be happy that they followed him and his path? Why would he punish anyone, when punishing a sinner would mean he was working for God? So is Satan working for God, or is Hell something radically different than we're all thinking?
Anyway, this has just been on mind lately from conversations with my fiance. If you can answer, that great and thank you-- but please no flying at me to convert me, okay guys? This is question, not a fight.

Okay, some stuff needs to be cleared up here. Satan hasn't been sent to hell, Satan was sent to Earth. Satan will eventually be punished in hell, himself, along with those who shun God. Satan doesn't do the punishing. That is the modern, almost-comical view of Satan and hell. There are many views of hell, from a place of true fire and brimstone to a place where those who now know of God's existence will be forever separated from Him, only to be constantly tormented by the knowledge that they were wrong all along, for eternity. I hope this helps to clarify your question. If you have anything that needs to be addressed more, please feel free to contact me.

If we believe in God and accept Jesus in our hearts whole heartedly, we have a better conscious when we sin. God forgives our sins when we go to him and repent.
Hell is for those who never believed/or never accepted/or fell away from God (by sinning and never repenting)
Hell is where Satan belongs and where Satan's followers end up there. But Satan does not rule over hell. It is the Almighty God who has power over the universe (that means everything in this world in and out)
What's important fact is that Satan is doing everything he can to make people fall into hell.
just know this, Satan is a liar, the accuser, a thief and a very sneaky and clever that's why he fell from being an angel because he wanted to be more than God.

You really don't have a clue about this stuff do you? You gotta think deeper into the situation. If somone got hit by a car, then why did they? Were they innocent or did they have somone sent after them because they messed up with a drug deal? Who knows.
By the way i don't like how you used the black&white thing cuz it sounds rasist. My bestfriends black lol and i'm slovik which is white skin. Anyways i know you probably didn't mean that, but you gotta whatch what you say on here cuz people get offended easily.
Q:If someone sins or worships Satan and goes to Hell, why would Satan punish them?
A:They worship Satan during their lifetime because he appears to them as if he is a good leader. He'll reward them with pleasures and a very easy life. What i mean an easy life is when you rob a bank you earn 1,000,000$ easily if you don't get cought, but working a descent job won't even get you that kinda pay check in 10 years. Satan seduces them with his ways that make bad things look good, so then they follow him. A lot of the risks are exciting to people, like the thrills of getting cought. Satan isn't a promising protecter and may not even help you if you pray out to him, but God will once your in jail for following Satan's traps.
Q:Wouldn't he be happy that they followed him and his path?
A: He is happy, he just doesn't care for their lives. he laughs at them once they get cought or tortured. He loves to see them suffer. His words are sweet, but he has backstabbing ways. He doesn't keep his promises.
Q:Why would he punish anyone, when punishing a sinner would mean he was working for God?
A: He isn't punishing any sinners, he is just treating his followers how he likes to. He needs followers, so he provokes them to view evil in a good way. Once their worshoping him he takes their souls after death. He promises them riches, but they get wipes and tortured insteads. It entertains him.
Q:So is Satan working for God, or is Hell something radically different than we're all thinking?
A: It is radically different from what YOU are thinking. All of us have our views.
Anyway, this has just been on mind lately from conversations with my fiance. If you can answer, that great and thank you-- but please no flying at me to convert me, okay guys? This is question, not a fight.
& i'm not a christian i'm a catholic. I don't convert anyone because i think we all boelive in the same God, just soem of us change his meaning. The ONLY true God should be a God that gives Love and hapiness to his people.
Examples of Different views of God.
Catholic God- Most european countries boleive in this God and they have a good view of him. Their God gives women and men equal rights and is just. Even after holocaust Europe is repaired and it's people are once again living freely.
Is this the help of their God?
Muslim God- Most Middle eastern countries boleive in this God refered as Allah. Their views on God are that women and men don't have equal rights and their societ is not just and isn't really the happiest place to live. Their country's people are living in fear even when no war is around.
Who's God is just?
Ours is.. which is all of ours.
There is only one God, but many stories.
Some people's stories of God are not just.
That is the difference that takes place in religion amoung people.

that's a misconception that Satan punishes people in hell. In the end, there won';t be much difference as Satan and those who have rejected God will all be punished by God.
Presently, Satan is not in hell, but in the world and will not be confined to hell until the final judgment.

First of all God doesn't want to punish anyone in the first place. But you see because of sin and unbelief is the result of punishment though it hurts Him see people in hell, Speaking of Satan, If you follow him (intentional or unintentional) he is happy. But he is not like God or man that he will reward you. Satan doesn't care about you! All he cares about how many people will go to hell and suffer cause he is spiteful to God and in short he is happy that he has destroyed God's creation.

I think Satan is just evil and if you go to Hades you will just be around the evil things that you are already. I believe my God is a loving & forgiving God and you will not be sent to the other place if you confess your wrong doings. However I also believe you will not be forgiven at all if you committed horrible acts like what happened on 9/11 for example

Since God is all powerful, Satan exists only because God allows him to exist. There is no cosmic power struggle between good an evil in "delicate equipoise." There is one true force, and he is God, and all things (even Satan) are subject to his infinite power.
God wants man to love him out of his own free will. In fact, love cannot be said to exist without freedom; and therefore, God has given us each our own free will in order so that we may love. With this freedom bestowed upon us, we are also able to choose to not love (i.e. to act against God). And this is sin.
We are all sinners. Getting into heaven does not turn on whether or not we sin, nor the gravity of our sins, because there is no evil that can overtake God's infinite love for each of us. We know this because Christ died for the sins of all of humanity; thus all of our debts have been cleared. This is the good news of the Gospels.
With this in mind--hell is best conceived as the eternal absence of God. Since we were made in God's image; we echo a certain infinite desire of God for love; yet in our sin, we seek to fill our infinite desire with some finite substance. But nothing finite can ever satisfy an infinite desire. Only God himself can satisfy us completely, in a divine exchange of this infinite love.
Certain fundamentalist Christians may tell you otherwise. But at some point, it is wiser to look beyond literal language of the Bible into the very essence of the material being presented.

They are being sent to Hell to be punished Along with Satan, not by him, but one so Evil probably couldn't resist the chance of hurting another soul, so I'm sure there would be some sort of bullying going on.

thank you, that is a great point! that is why the beleive in a literal hell fire is so ridiculous. Jesus was in the grave, memorial tomb and cave, rock mass.
End of Matthew 27:60 I think then in Acts 2:31 just guessing again. It says he was in hell.
Flying in the face of never getting out, Jesus came out of hell.
After the 1000 year rein of Jesus Satan gets out for a while and then gets killed or destroyed. Then what happens to the people who are in hell forever? without Satan can't they pretty much do what they want?
the only thing that makes sense to me is what he told Adam.
"for dust you are and to dust you will return" What is that about? Why does Adam just go away and the rest of us have to suffer forever? Is that fair?
