At times we become so busy earning a living that we neglect our own personal devotions. Sometimes we become so heavily engaged even in the service and mission of our church that we lose resolve and start to rely upon other means for success, deciding that there are more palatable routes to purity than the somber Beatitudes. We justify our actions by telling ourselves that these are merely small or temporary deviations. And we trangress.

The Holy Bible says:
" I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him".
---Hosea 14:4

In the biblical story of the Prodigal Son, who left home for the allurements of a life of sin and pushed by the pain of hobbled hopes and soured relations. God doesn't give up on the wayward son who finds himself in a pigpen predicament. He reaches out to him in the pigpen and points him back to the place that he left. The Lost son replies "I will arise and go".

To a degree , you are correct . GOd so easily loves and forgives and doesnt give up on us easy, cuz He loves us so much . But, God calls us to purity, to obedience and holiness, its commanded to be perfect like Jesus. perfect obedience to the Father as Jesus was to the Father. WE dont know when each of our time is up, but before we die or Jesus comes again, we must be sinfree, and we can do that by the power of the indwelling Holy SPirit living within us. God says JEsus didnt come for us to continue sinning. GOD FORBID. Jesus came to free us from sin, not free us to sin. IF we arent like Jesus , what do we have to take to the world. These are the last days and the mysteries of the Bible are being revealed. God calls us to holiness and if we will not come, we will be lost. Its not hard to say no to sin, when you hate it as much as God does. WE are to have His desires, not the desires of the world , of self. We surrender self to God daily, over and over again as we become more like Him. We cant do it, but He will do it for us when we say No to sin and Yes to Him. He will forgive the backsliding, but before we die, or Jesus returns , we must be like Jesus. since we never know when that will be, we need to get ready now and stay ready, being like Jesus Christ, unto perfect obedience. and yes it can be done, tho folks today say it cant. If it couldnt be done, God wouldnt command it. God bless you for the question.

God said lets make man in our image and after our likeness. The Christ fell down three times on his way to the Crucifixion. He kept going forward, knowing his physical death was at the end of his journey. We all fall short on our journey to our Creator, but we must never give up our struggle to overcome our own demons.I always tell my friends and people I know to pray even in your sin.in your worst place in life for God hears .

If he existed he would LOVE and FORGIVE everyone of EVERYTHING. It is only man's desire to hurt others that spawns this idea of hating someone and hurting them because of "sin".

As you said, the father forgave the son who came back after "sinning", no harm done. How am I taking this out of context or twisting it or doing anything to the message of the story at all Christians?

I do think that Christ helps us from making our lives worse. He is always there for us whenever we need him and we do often put other things in front of him, but he still stands by us. We have to be willing to do what Christ wants us to do and he won't give up on us.

I was the prodigal son. It is that Luke 15, that saved me. And, thanks to it, I have what I have today, which is MORE than I wanted.
I can testify. I was not extremely wicked, but I was lost.

I do not think that "we" as a nation will repent....but as individuals, yes, I believe that God will heal us if we repent, confess and turn back to Him.
