I dont think you should.

Sorry but no parent would like to hear this unless theyre specifically (open minded)

and unless yours go into this category, I think you should keep your private life to yourself. Parents dont need to know everything.

Also, this has nothing to do with your parents religion.

Most heterosexual parents are heterosexual because they cant imagine being anything else.

For a son to say theyre gay, the father will be extremely upset (cause this doesnt fit his understanding of a son) and the mother will be crying her brains out wondering what she did wrong to deserve this. At any case, mothers are easier to handle at times because theyre emotional, and fathers dont forget such things. Because the society we live in promote macho, strong, and heterosexual men. Not the contrary.

However, if you wish to tell them, and you feel in your heart its not gonna be taken so well, you gotta realize that youll be walking into a lot of family drama. I suggest you brace yourself for that and expect the worst.

And maybe being hopeful is not such a bad idea here. But I wouldnt want my child to be gay, and Id be mortified if they were. Lord help your parents and may they treat you well.

If your parents are observant, you may want to do it from a distance. What does the Quran say about how a gay person is to be treated?
