Adam & Eve ate a fruit and humanity consequently has to suffer for something they didn’t do! If your grandmother once stole an orange from her neighbor, are you to be condemned for your grandmother’s act? Somehow, Christians can make sense out of it O_o! Now, some Christians who don’t have the guts to stand by the absurdness of their own religion will try to say that the story of Adam & Eve is only symbolic and blah blah blah. They will try to say that humans suffer because they are sinful in nature and Adam & Eve is merely a mirror of us. But unfortunately the bible says that we indeed suffer because of Adam & Eve’s sin, so that argument is weak. But alright, for the sake of the argument, let’s say humans were supposed to suffer anyway because we are sinful in nature. Let’s pretend that God has some divine purpose for our suffering…but wait a minute! How about unborn babies? Why do they get exempt from all the suffering and temptation of our world? Go and ponder Christians!

"The fear of God is not the beginning of wisdom. The fear of God is the death of wisdom. Skepticism and doubt lead to study and investigation, and investigation is the beginning of wisdom. The modern world is the child of doubt and inquiry, as the ancient world was the child of fear and faith."

When you were learning the days of the week at school did they teach you that the week started on Monday? And later did they change it to start on Sunday? I seem to remember it being this way. If so why was it changed? I am trying to figure out which day is the Seventh day as it should be the day of rest. The bible says the Sabbath which I thought means Saturday but I have always been taught Sunday is the day of rest. I am so confused!!!!

how are we to understand the teaching of the Watchtower society when it says that the dead will be resurrected on earth in a physical body. I have been told that this scripture is only intended for the 144,000 but where does it say that? Paul talks of THE dead, not a select few. If there is any clear scripture that explains this then I really need to read it. It is of great importance for me as my son died in March and I was so looking forward to holding him in the new system. Reading this scripture, which is one often skipped over by the society, I can see only that he will be raised a spirit person and not a physical one.

In the 21st Century I have noticed that sadly we have not progressed much past the time of Dickens.

He wrote about the poor dying in the streets of London, whilst the rich preached over them, called them "undeserving" and decreed that they "deserved" their fate because their poverty was the result of their own bad blood (laziness, stupidity, immorality etc) - even though many of these rich people were the laziest, stupidest and most immoral people on earth!!!

Time and again I read on here that if a man is poor it is because he is lazy, stupid or immoral and if a man is materially rich it is because he is somehow "superior" in his work ethic, intellect or talent.

This is not true. Yet sadly many of the people who preach this stuff claim to be Christians as well.

What does the Bible have to say on the subject. Didn't Jesus say it was "easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle" than for a rich man to enter heaven. What does that tell us?

If you take into account that god created adam, and god did not create eve until adam said he was loneley, that means he never originally had a sexual attraction to women and thus reproduced asexually, in other words he could himself pregnant meaning adam was gay.

Whats with this Im gonna report you stuff? I have been seeing this as responses to questions lately. I see offensive stuff in 2/3 of the posts on here and they arent reported. Why have that option anyhow, it seems a bit like kicking one off the cheerleading squad in high school or something. So what gives, do you guys report or agree with reporting or think its a waste of time? And also, what distinguishes rude reportable stuff to rude nonreportable stuff?

As we're told in Numbers 31:32-46 about the division of loot; 32,000 virgins were captured, the division was 16,000 virgins for the community and other 16,000 virgins for the men of war, of which 32 were the tax for the Lord.

"To put it simply: religions can't all be true, but they can all be false. Some try to get around this by saying that they all teach "higher truths" that are compatible, but this is a cop-out because adherents of these religions don't follow simply these alleged "higher truths," they follow the empirical claims being made. Those empirical claims of all these religions can't all be true. They can, however, all be false."

I am Catholic and I surely don't understand why so many anti-Catholics have been using the Bible that The Catholic Church has compiled against the Catholic Church and its members. I mean, if they are so anti-Catholic, why not just return the Bible that the Catholic Church has compiled and preserved for so many years?
