I mean do you believe everyone is saved, aslong as they lived a good life? I ask this because, alot of churches and people I know (so called 'christians') think every path leads too heaven.

I read once, on the Web I believe, a verse from St. Paul, about how you cannot get warmth in bed alone. Does anyone know that verse? I would like to study it further.

My 98 year old grandmother is dying in bed of a pneumonia. She is not going to make it. I am trying to save her soul from the despair of hell, but she just won't have it. I have told her that if she doesn't accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and PERSONAL saviour that she will burn in hell for the rest of eternity. She will be continually raped by fire demons until her head explodes and then the process will start all over again. I keep telling her that this is what is going to happen to her if she doesn't accept Christ.
She tells me that religion is the Devil and that in her lifetime she has seen all the problems religion can create. What an old fuddy duddy.
What should I do?

Did Jesus exist before being born on Earth?? The Bible says that God GAVE his only begotten son which to me says that Jeusu had existed beforehand, but what confuses me is that he was also born on this Earth. So was he around in Heaven before being born here?

Eternal bliss ( which would take a lot of hard work, and a number of tests) to go through

or

Something which is, lets say.. moratal pleasure.. which lasts only for a while.. which would you choose and why?

Are you trying to live up to the answer you chose?

Or does the faculty of not knowing stop you in your tracks. By this I mean.. since we are aware of pleasures that make us happy for a while, and not aware of eternal bliss.. yet... Does the notion of not knowing eternal bliss, stop you from attaining it.

I know many of you would question what eternal bliss is.. but I believe I can attain it if I am a good human being, which is a good representative of Islam. But what if, for those who don't believe... eternal bliss or paradise were to become obvious..

would you work hard to achieve it?

My mom is Mormon and my dad is agnostic. When my mom lived with us, I believed in what she did, but then I investigated it and Christianity and made sure that there was some solid evidence but I won't go there right now... :)

No offence intended, but If God didn't exist, how exactly do you think this world came into being? I'm not thinking about this being a Muslim or a Christian or a Hindu or whatever, for now I'm just a human being who has a brain and who can think logically. So what do you think how come the sun and the moon have been coming up at almost the same time every day for centuries? Scientists have agreed on human body being a tremendous machine that works systematically, how come do you think it was created? just like that ? don't you think there had to be someone to create something so complicated and systematic?

No controversies. I am truly not trying to tell what I believe is the only truth, I don't want anyone, ANYONE, to be hurt. I just want to know what people who don't believe on God think. I just need to know their explanations of how are things the way they are.

I've come to the realization after such a horrific couple of years in my life that if there was a God, such things would not have happened to me, and after pondering some of the events that have happened over the years makes me doubt it even more.

Like how could a God that is so pure and good let the holocaust happen to so many innocent people, or how could suicide bombers be allowed to terminate people so easily, and there are many more, but this is got to be the toughest one of all...how could God himself, allow for the innocent kids of this world be molested, raped, and traumatized by the sickos that exist, and even worse, in our own CHURCHES !!!

Now explain how there is a God, try not to use blind faith, but rather give an actaul event in the last 2000 years that isn't Bible related that we can say without a doubt this is God's doing and why we should worship something that has never appeared! Again...try not to use the Bible as your source, because you were not around then!

I was reading my scriptures last night and came across these verses in the Book of Alma (Book of Mormon) and it made me think about this site.
Alma 10: 26-28
26: For behold, have I testified against your law? Ye do not understand; ye say that I have spoken against your law; but I have not, but I have spoken in favor of your law, to your condemnation.
28: And now it came pass that when Amulek had spoken these words the people cried out against him, saying: Now we know that this man is a child of the devil, for he hath lied unto us; for he hath spoken against our law. And now he says that he has not spoken against it.

Any thoughts for my fellow believers in Alma's words?

Since faith in the sacrifice of Jesus and an individuals acceptance of him as saviour is vital to salvation, does the fact that Mother Teresa lacked faith and doubted Gods' existence indicate that she is suffering in hell though a Catholic saint?

Genesis is an account of the restoration that occurred after the Pleistocene / Holocene mass extinction of life about 12,000 years ago. Modern animals and plants in Genesis were made "after their kind," that is having a DNA structure similar to the prehistoric animals and plants. Man was also made similar in DNA structure to prehistoric man, but was also given the image of God, that is a spiritual nature.
