Christians my husband and I found a whole bunch of tracts which are christian literature about who to accept and received Jesus into your heart. I live in a state where Christianity is not the prominent faith. What are good godly ways to give out tracts without being obnoxoius or obstanate?
Where are places you have given out tracts? Do you think I could send a tract to a person (s) that do not know the Lord with a letter of encouragement?

With the scorn and hatred they showed for the UN, you would think that they wouldn't want to have anything regarding their organization associated with the UN. But recently it came out that they indeed became members of the NGO Non-Government Organization-which means they were required to promote knowledge of the principles and activities of the United Nations and disseminate information about the United Nations and its work to their constituencies.

They even included quotes from the UN in the Watchtower! How hypocritical is that? Then when it came out they denied knowing the conditions and had their membership withdrew.

How sad is that?

I have recently read strongly contrasting opinions of what the actually events of Joseph Smith's life was.

I realize that both sides have twisted the history to suit their purpose. I want to get as original, and accurate as I can in this modern day.

Do you know of any resourses I might aquire for this?

Note: please do not refer me to an anti-mormon or a strongly mormon site. If you give me a site please give me one that includes Joseph Smith's journal or simmilar for my own pursuit of truth. Thank you.

I have more faith in what the Tallman says and does in the Phantasm movies. He has more substance than your Bible's got.
This is one of things the Tallman says.
He uses telepathy and makes a cross on a chain wrap
around the priest neck and says to him. You think that when you die, you go to heaven? You come to us.
I think he is more of a real character then your God.
Call me a heathen I don't care I like it.

I wonder what your opinion is...

1. When did God create dinosaurs, and why did He create them?

2. Do you think dinosaurs coexisted with man on the earth?

3. Do you think Noah had dinosaurs with him in the ark?

4. Do you think, dinosaurs were already extinct when Adam & Eve were created?

If you give me a quote from anyone but Jesus HIMSELF, or where he doesn't actually talk specifically about people of the same sex having intimate relations, it doesn't count.

General allusions to 'sin,' 'fornication,' or other vague references don't count.

When you've failed to find any, then check your Strong's and look up 'hypocrite.' How many times does it say Jesus condemned hypocrites?

Let me explain...

The laws of nature are one set of truths. For example, nothing can move faster than light. But if there is a God, and he can do anything, he can move things faster than light - a second truth.

As an atheist, I think one set of truths is sufficient.

LOL, funny how it takes committing haneous acts before these jerk-offs find Jesus. Guess he didn't find Jesus before when he became a great professional football star and had a lot to be thankful for. I guess Jesus wasn't around then.

My kids and I played board games all evening on the porch. By candlelight, no less. We decided to turn the lights off for once and reconnect. It was a lovely time.

How was your day special for you?

No really,I'm not a church goer never have been I went once and it totally creeped me out I never went back, but organised religion can be far different than individual worship that is kept to yourself. When atheists or whoever lump all believers of Christ into one organization it makes you sound...well rediculous.

Would Jesus have wanted us to shove our beliefs down the throats of people who just do not want it? Is it not better to show the love of Christ by example instead of clubbing someone with our beliefs? I believe in sharing the good news too, but not with people who have told me they do not want it. If they show interest in what my beliefs are, I am more than happy to share them. I have before and this seems to work much better! I think it is far better to let my light shine and light the way with my good example! What are your thoughts on this, Christian? Is there a way to share the gospel without being abrasive and irritating folks? All responses welcome as long as they are respectful!

Note that I didn't ask how many "persons" are in the Trinity, because "persons" has a special meaning there... is God one individual, or three individuals? If He's three, then how is that different from three Gods? (In the Bible, Jesus said that the Father was "greater" than him and that the time of his return was known not by the angels "nor the Son, but the Father only"... Does Jesus have a separate mind from the Father? How else could he not know something that is known to the Father?!?) Also, if Jesus was an infant during the Nativity, who was running the universe while he had the mind of a child? The Father? Then the Father and the Son are two separate individuals, and therefore two Gods...

I might be the odd man out here, but I LOVE anti-Mormon websites, because they go to nearly everything I have problems with a typical Christian church and show how the LDS relgion is right.

So, am I weird or has anyone else noticed/agreed with this?

Note: I am not LDS... I just percieve this way...
