Just because atheists do not believe in god does not mean they lack a purpose in life. This doesn't mean that someone has set out a purpose for them (as you probably believe),but they have set their own purpose, maybes it's just to live life and enjoy it while its here!
And secondly, how can you say atheists lack spirituality, or even religion (in a loose sense). Atheists certainly have a degree of spirituality, it just doesn't involve a god. Its more an overwhelming feeling of the natural beauty of the universe and a wonder at the mysteries it holds for us to explore - the same way you believe in your bible fairy tales except atheists are looking forward to the exploration of it!
Thirdly, and to answer your question, I came on here for a good laugh, because I'd read from a starred question that an answerer justified their belief in creationism because they read it in the bible which contains other 'supernatural' stuff, they said that if they believed in the other supernatural stuff why not creationism!! Thats what I call critical thinking.
May the flying spaghetti monster and teapot in the asteroid belt bless you.

Because all of the questions that I want to answer about evolution come up in here. And it's funnier than anywhere else on the site.
And by the way, you could really stand to loosen up, dude. Don't take it all so seriously. Laugh at some of this stuff! A lot of it is genuinely funny. Some of it's not, but that comes from both sides of the aisle.

Lots of atheists are spiritual, actually.
Also, this is the place to talk ABOUT religion and spirituality. I need be in possession of neither in order to talk about them. I could go to the travel section and talk there if I wanted, even though I rarely have the time and money to travel. I enjoy talking about religion, so I come here.
Also... if you want to get rid of atheists in R&S, asking us questions is sort of counterproductive, dontcha think?

Atheism is the rejection of religion. That means it is ABOUT religion. So this is the place to talk about it. And this question gets asked like 50 times a day. Are you guys really that insecure that you can't take criticism?

It's not up to you to decide who "deserves" to be here, and frankly, we don't give a rat's butt whether or not YOU think we "deserve" to be here.
We're here because your superstitious nonsense affects OUR lives. THAT gives us the right to be here and talk about religion. You have a problem with that, then go to a religious website, where you can talk to only people who share your beliefs.

No, it's to give the correct answers to the questions asked.
Why are you here? You don't seem capable of or interested in contributing anything positive.
===========
Fortunately, I'm already drinking - the Brewers/Cubs game is on.
Did you know that each time another believer posts this question, it becomes more and more obvious that you people really do understand that your beliefs are silly? You're obviously threatened by the fact that there are atheists, and it's obviously the "Emperor's New Clothes" effect, and you're obviously a coward.
==============
"atheists dont deserve to be here"
Nice one, Osama. Now take your drivel back to Afghanistan with your Taliban brethren. And take that claim to be a U.S. Marine off of your profile, coward. You're not fooling anyone, kid, and trying to associate the Marines with your kind of behavior is disrespectful.

Yeah! But what are we doing tonight Brain?
I was hoping somebody would ask this. My drink was almost empty.
When we ask about God in the Cats section they tell us to leave.
