I've heard of it. It's the version with footnotes and study aids by Witness Lee and Watchman Nee.

The recovery version of the Bible sits around in chairs with other recovery Bibles and tells how long it is since it last had a drink or took advantage of anyone.

Unfortunately, most recovering Bibles fall off the wagon and manage to mislead more people since it is in their nature so to do.

I'm familiar with Witness Lee's translation - the "Recovery Version". The translation itself is OK, but the reason why he wrote it was in order to include his extensive commentary on every page to indoctrinate his followers.

For a critique on Witness Lee and the Local Church movement see http://www.bcbsr.com/topics/lc.html

Haven't heard of it. Soon I will be publishing a "Testament" of Yezua (Jesus) for our disciples cross referenced with the work of Jerome's Latin Vulgate. Of course in "my" version, it is seen that Jesus was the messiah prophesized would come by the egyptian Priest Nu around 2600 b.c and not the prophet Isaiah around 800 b.c. I am still working out the 'kinks" in it and have many publishers wanting the work to distribute it worldwide....
