If you give me a quote from anyone but Jesus HIMSELF, or where he doesn't actually talk specifically about people of the same sex having intimate relations, it doesn't count.

General allusions to 'sin,' 'fornication,' or other vague references don't count.

When you've failed to find any, then check your Strong's and look up 'hypocrite.' How many times does it say Jesus condemned hypocrites?

nope, which is why i don't believe that homosexuality is a direct ticket to hell. even if it is a sin, Jesus forgives all sins, so who cares?

Of course not.
The character of Jesus is based on Plato-ism and God was an OT character. They are not the same.
Quiet Buck-I'll have to look up the exact scripture but that line is in the OT and contradicts a story about King David being intimate with a male 'friend'.
Here it is-King David and Saul's son Jonathan in 1 Samuel 18:1-4, 20:41-42, and 2 Samuel 1:25-26
Chucky-The NT Book of Mark is 1 of 3 and the others explain the (almost) naked boy is an initiate into Gnosticism ie the Christian Mystery religion.

Edit: Boy, Christians assume a lot. There are no direct references. Instead, there are a lot of quotes from the OT and those are linked with a NT verse. Sigh.
BTW, 'noncrazed'-I have two dogs (male & female) that get along but never try anything sexual. When they were trying the dominance thing, they growled at each other and made threatening body language for severaal months before the male grew bigger in size, then the female backed off. A neighborhood dog came over and my female dog started humping HER (neighborhood dog). There was no act of disagreement between them and that dog had been over several times before so dominance would not have been an issue.
Also, as to evolution-there are a ton of 'unnatural' characteristics in the genetic pool that have survived throughout time, thousands of years. According to the theory that ONLY genes that help the particular species continue, should not have. IE-Blindness, infertiity, deafness, spinal weaknesses, all kinds of mental disorders (nominal- ADHD or severe-serial killer), leprosy (which does still exist in Africa).
Plus, I don't see a lot of pale people 'evolving' to tolerate the sun better. (BTW, my family has been here for generations-hundreds of years- so there's been time to adapt, according to your choice theory)

ah... common. I was about to star your question until you put :
"When you've failed to find any, then check your Strong's and look up 'hypocrite.' How many times does it say Jesus condemned hypocrites?"

I would have really liked to know if someone put an honest answer here. (I don't expect they will find any quotes.... but I am always open to the possibility that I am wrong- and someone might actually find one)

But now no one honest will post. Just angry people,. or people who agree with you.

Being that you have banned all the so called vague references than no but how about this so called vague reference. "If you lust for another you have already committed adultry in your heart" and have committed sin. Homosexuality is not the issue. The true issue is lust that is the sin. any kind of lust man, woman, beasts. Homosexuality is no more or no less a sin then premarital sex, or beastiality. With that said we all sin, as long as we condone our sin we are not saved. The bible says we must mordify the sins of the flesh we must hate what our bodies do in the flesh when we go around saying it is ok then that is when we have a problem.

Revelation 22

12"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

14"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

I believe the SEXUALLY IMMORAL would include HOMOSEXUALS.

What about Orthodox (and many Conservative Jews) and Muslims who condemn homosexality also? They don't rely on the words of Jesus.

It is always amusing to me the effort people who support homosexuality as natural go to in order to try and prove others wrong.

Let's skip the whole religious thing and look at the natural view. Nature does not support homosexuality. A lot of people try to claim that animals engage in homosexuality but there are two problems with this theory:

1. Many times the so-called homosexual behaviors are actual related to dominance, aggression behavior. I have yet to see two male dogs having sex. I have seen the mounting of another male dog, but this is often if the other male has challenged the alpha dog and the alpha is putting the other in his place. There is no sex act, and no sex act, true intercourse, has taken place between two males in documented history.

2. We do not know what is in the dog's mind, or any other animals mind. We do not know if this is homosexual desire or dominance. It is foolhardy to say that something that seems so related to dominance, something missing the singular sex act, can be truly about homosexuality. There is more to document and support dominat behavior then homosexual.

Then there is the little problem of evolution. People claim that homosexuality has been around for thousands of years. But following the theory of evolution, this should not have survived if it is genetic. You can't have it both ways.

It is, finally, a violation of everything else that occurs in nature.

Truely, is this how you want to be seen - a violation of the natural order, a mutation, never meant to reproduce, to carry on throught your generations but instead die out to prevent this mutation, this mistake from being carried on?

There is so much about homosexuality that can be talked about without including religion - but it is easier to bring religion up. It takes the attention off homosexauls and instead tries to make those who disagree with those look ignorant, blind and prejudiced.

Take off your little halo, step down off your soap box and enter the real world. The world of natural order that does not support homosexuality, and the pure stark reality that many people are uncomfortable with but are so in fear of being called intolerant that they nod in agreement.

Leviticus 18:22 "Do not lie with a man (talking to men) as one lies with a woman; that is detestable"
Leviticus 20:13 [this is just to hammer the point home i think] "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
Romans 1:26-27: [for a new testament reference incase it was just for old testament you thought] "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural with women, and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."
Note: this isn't referring to homosexuals, it to ANYONE that preforms acts such as these, homosexual or not! And can be concluded that homosexuality is wrong, well, detestable as well.

Jesus did not have to address that issue because they killed all the homosexuals:

Lev. 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: THEY SHALL SURELY BE PUT TO DEATH; their blood [shall be] upon them. "

However sexual impurity comes under the heading of Adultery, and Jesus said: Go and sin no more to the adulterer.

But, you are correct, Jesus did have to deal with hypocrites. He was a friend of those condemned by the pious rulers in the synagogue. That group were the only ones he called bad names: You are not entering the kingdom of Heaven, He said.

Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yehshua

1 Corinthians 6: 9 - 10
What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom.

Bible View of Sexual Perversions

Due to worldly propaganda even some among God’s people have been influenced so as to view homosexuality and similar sexual perversions as ‘not so bad.’ However, God’s Law to Israel was that homosexuals should be put to death.

And in the Christian Greek Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10 says, according to the New International Version: “Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral . . . nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders . . . will inherit the kingdom of God.” And, according to this same Bible translation, Romans 1:26, 27 says: “Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men.” Verse 32 continues: “Those who do such things deserve death.”

Avoiding Wrong Sexual Conduct

Persons who may have homosexual desires need to fight hard against them. At the same time, we should be careful that we do not become the victim of a person whose wrong desires may be getting the better of him. At times homosexual acts have been precipitated by things that in themselves are not wrong, such as the giving or accepting of back rubbing or of back washing in the shower. Or sometimes persons will playfully wrestle and become aroused sexually. There is a need for caution. Be aware that such activity can lead to, and on occasion has led to, homosexual acts, even among Christians.

Why is it that some become involved in sexual offenses—in homosexuality, bestiality, Peeping Tomism, and so forth? It has been found that the minds of the offenders were on sex to a great extent. Sometimes they were avid readers of pornographic literature. Seemingly without exception, they were habitual masturbators.

The Bible, God's word, makes clear that homosexuality will not be tolerated and those engaging in it and condoning it will not mock God, but only themselves.

Read your own Bible and this is not the place to come for a quick fix.

Jesus doesn't say anything directly regarding homosexuality, perhaps because he wasn't asked about it.

Indirectly, Jesus is asked about marriage, and there he refers to it as an arrangement between a man and a woman, and that those who can accept chastity for the sake of the kingdom are blessed indeed - that within the context of discussing marriage, so by implication sexuality is referred to only in terms of heterosexuality.

Again, it is not explicit regarding homosexuality - it is only implied. It's not really fair to judge Jesus or Christians by the silence of the scriptures on this topic. Their issues back then were not our issues of today. You could perhaps find other passages where Jesus might approve of homosexuality in the same implicit way - his acceptance of those rejected by society and the like.

I'm afraid it's an open question that is open to debate and discussion.

I love how there are immediate references to Leviticus and Romans which aren't the words of Jesus. I know there are no scriptures that Jesus himself is quoted as saying relating at all to homosexuality -- I've looked!
