Is this really a way out of life's hardships? Or just a quicker way to get to hell and eternal damnation? Your thoughts and opinions please..

I don't judge anybody..but I let them know what the consequences are. I don't believe a lifetime of hell even compare's an eternity of hell. Which would you choose?

Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. This includes oneself. Millions of people are killing themselves (suicide), as they see no hope, no purpose, and no meaning to life. Millions have been led away from the truth of the everlasting Gospel, only to face that eternal death--eternal separation from the God of creation who came to earth to die for them. 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

My thoughts are that there are circumstances in which I think suicide is probably the best answer.
If a person is in pain and is terminally with only days left to live. If a person is very old and is losing her mental faculties slowly and wants to die before her mind is completely gone.
Those are times when suicide might not be so bad. But it is not a good idea for a way out of life's hardships. It is the permanent solution to a temporary problem thing. There are generally alternatives for people in that state of mind.
About it being a quicker way to get to hell, I don't believe in hell, so I can't comment on this.
As for a quicker way to

Remember that hell and eternal damnation are concepts that mostly Christians use. The rest of us have a different explanation.
My Steve committed suicide a year and a half ago, so I've done a lot of thinking about it. I think it is sometimes a valid response to a really terrible situation, as with a painful illness which is not curable. There is also a certain validity to suicide when a criminal is cornered, and the punishment he expects would be far worse. This is called "doing the DA a favor." And I have a certain sympathy for the Japanese concept of "saving face" when there is no other way, although I think many times there is a better way. That is to admit one's error, however severe, and live to make amends to those you have harmed.
But My Steve seemed to think he was doing me a favor, sacrificing himself for my benefit. And there he was, you should excuse the expression, dead wrong.

It's an attempt to make the pain and the chaos in your mind stop. It's the honest to Gods feeling that even Hell would be better then what you are living through. It's a decision usually made in the grips of narrow sighted depression or other mental illnesses.
Don't judge people who endure this type of pain. If you've never lived it, you have no idea what a personal hell it can be.
edit:At the time of the choice to kill youself, trust me, you choose hell. You could give a flying flip.

It's a way out of the pain and chaos one may find in their mind and life. Some people simply don't have the strength and will to deal with it, or they may feel that there's simply nothing worth living for at all.
Personally, I don't believe in the Hell of Christian belief. I think that people may make their own hell in the after life- based on guilt and wrong doing-, and they or others make it for them in this life. Suicide, in my opinion, most likely won't cause a horrible after life.
On a Christian point of view, you need to remember that one is sent to "Hell" for their sins, not illnesses. Many people who commit suicide do it due to a mental illness. Would your God really send someone to damnation for an illness? I think not.

I dont think suicide should be a way out of lifes hardships. I firmly believe "this too shall pass" and "it CAME to PASS". Just give it a little time and circumstances will change. Now to address whether or not suicide sends you hell........I think that a person that commits suicide usually does it due to a mental illness (i.e. depression, results of drug abuse, etc.). I think that God sees mental illness as any other disease there is out there. Would God send you to hell because you had cancer? or heart disease? So why would he send you to hell because of any other illness? Now this is assuming that you are a Christian and love God and have accepted Jesus as your Savior. I think that if you are a Christian, God would give you the peace that you need to make it thru any situation if you just ask and believe.

Suicide is the ultimate expression of the Deadly Sin of Pride. It does not end hardships at all...as a matter of fact...whatever hardships are happening to a person are frozen in that time...there is no more life...no more chance to work out one's salvation.
Is it the end...and a one way ticket to Hades...?? I like to think not...many good souls who commit suicide do so because of severe mental illness and do not know any other way "out"....they cannot (IMHO) be held accountable.
Besides...I serve a God of second chances...and I am a vocal proponent of the idea of a state of purgation after death. Call it "Purgatory" if you wish...but I believe in such a place.

Well...it depends on if you are a believer. If you believe in the Lord Jesus and accepted Him in your heart and confessed with your mouth He is Lord, and that He rose from the dead for you then you are saved.
Even if you commit suicide you are still saved if you believe, however, if you truly love the Lord you would not want to commit suicide because of your love for the Lord. There is soo much more to live for, if the Lord wanted to take you home He will in His time...but if you are alive today, it is not your turn to die yet.
Read Jer 29:11
I know the plans I have for you says the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.
Jesus loves you:)

I believe you can end all of life's hardships by committing suicide, now, that doesn't make it morally right to do. You are leaving your family feeling horrible, and only escaping for yourself. It is a way to escape, definately, but you also lose a lot by committing suicide and in a way, it is a selfish action.

Some think of it as a mortal sin, some just a means to an end. No real good can come of it, and how can one just end it all with out knowing what is next in life? Things could turn around tomorrow. Personally, I think it is not good and moral.
