Praise God Curly Sue, I see the Holy Spirit is at work with you still !!
In the Old Testament, the ark of the covenant contained the law tablets etc and on the top were two cherubim.
When Mary went to the empty tomb, it contained folded grave clothes, and either end an angel ! The resurrection is the testimony of Jesus Christ, and in this testimony is our claim that we will be resurrected too, through the redemptive power of our Saviour.
Our earthly bodies could never enter heaven in their present state, but since Jesus died and rose again, he then ascended to his Fathers right hand not in a spirit body, but in an incorruptible one, as we will one day, being sons and heirs with Him.
I refer to the scriptures in the above answers with great joy !
I believe too that you will not only see and hold your son again, but you will see and be held by the Lord himself !
If you can download e-Sword, it is a most valuable tool with many translations of the bible, that you can compare side by side, and also use to search for words and phrases.
God bless you ! I look forward to meeting you one day, if not here then definitely in glory !

I am so sorry to hear of your lose. I hope these texts will help. If you continue reading you will find that what dies is the old corruptible body but what is resurrected at the second coming of Christ is a new incorruptible body. In the book of Job is clearly states that this new body is one of flesh.
1 Corinthians 15:51-54
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on in-corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on in-corruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
Job 19:25-27
I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
What a wonderful promise for those of us who have lost loved ones.

For man, there is no such thing as a "spiritual" body. There is body and there is soul.
The dead will be raised, and all the souls of the dead will be eternally united with a brand new resurrection body similar to that which Jesus already possesses.
That resurrection body will not be a spiritual one. It will be a body that is compatible with both the spiritual and the temporal realms of existence.
Man was always intended to exist as a composite creature made of body and spirit, destined to be higher than the angels, who are pure spirits, and will always remain so..

I, Being a 'witness' long ago I think they taught thnt they would part of 'Spiritual Israel since the 144,000 are the 12 tribes which are SEALED. Please read the whole chapter. And remember that even angels could put on a body, even eat! Don't be troubled by the teachings of religions. It is written that Jesus will raise us up at the last dayPauls council in vs 38 is more than enough. To spend eternity on the New Jerusalem,? eat from the tree of life,? drink the water of life,?

I don't know if you are a JW. If so, I don't wish to be insulting but the Watchtower society is compltely wrong.
Look at this passage:
13 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. 14 Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. 15 For we say this to you by a revelation from the Lord: We who are still alive at the Lord's coming will certainly have no advantage over those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel's voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
And so , I wish to encourage you with these words. You WILL hold your son again someday! God Bless You.

Curly: Try John, chapter 5, verse 28. Also, consider this point of view from me. When the authorities came upon the tomb of Jesus Christ, 3 days and nights after His murder on the cross, they discovered the tomb completely EMPTY. Jesus had been resurrected PHYSICALLY from the dead, thus; setting the example to come for dead, in the future at His return to earth. Hope this supplies you with both, encouragement and faith, as you wait in anticipation for Jesus' return to this earth. The peace and love of God to you !

I hope this helps.
1 Corinthians 15:52 (Whole Chapter)
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
47The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Bookman and Homeland have given you enough explanation to your question. Do not waver or be in doubt, it is Satan way of putting confusion in your mind. He sees your weak point and Hit you hard so that even what you read from the Bible you could not understand. Is this things so important to you? There is so much to do for Christ and I don't even have proper time to have my meal and this things weight you down.

Curly, the watchtower is a result of a long line of guys who rejected the Bible, and rewrote their own religion, basically. The NWT translation was written by a guy who didn't even know how to translate a single Greek word, much less Hebrew or Aramaic.
Since the entire new testament is written in Greek, I'd say that pretty much rules out following what the JWs say about anything in the Bible.

I am not a JW but I do know a lot about them. It sounds to me you may be one or at least have some contact.
R&S is not the place to ask serious questions about any religion as you do not know who your talking too and if they have alteritive motives such as apostates.
I strongly sugest you contact your local JWs for scriptual advice. The one think I know about them they will prove what they say with scripture and logical explanation.
