Are we thinking our own thoughts or are we being conned (hypnotized that is) and being thought through by other's programming.

Do you know who you really are?
Are you not the sum total of all the programs that has been programmed into you and still counting ?

What say you all ?

I say that I am unique and one of a kind. I don't listen to what others think or feel about me. I know I am a good person and maybe some would even call me crazy. I speak my mind and even stand on my head in any place! I am my own person and always was a leader and not a follower.
I have broken the mould of my past and burned a path to change myself into the person I am today. Oh yea.............I am 59 and going to be a grandmother of 6.
I even have the audacity to not believe all that I read in the papers or on the news. They are all biased and I make up my own mind based on facts that I discover.
I will say from my past that I did take two cues from my parents. My Mom hated liars and I am very truthful. My Dad hated foul language and I took that from him and don't use it. It wasn't programmed into me, it is what meant so much to me that it stuck!

Yes i know who I am, at my age if i didn't, I think I would be in trouble. I believe that you go through life and get to learn many different things and yes that includes others views and opinions, but ultimately as an individual you choose what you agree with and what you don't.
As a child I never had Religion "programmed" in to me, in fact I was never exposed to any type of belief system by my parents.
So what I believe now is though what i have read and studied, which has led to my own personal beliefs.
I rarely watch T.V (mainly Doco's), I would much rather sit down with a book or scour the Net reading different peoples opinions on subjects that interest me, both for and against.
If you wish to count that as "programming", well thats your opinion.
I personally see my self as an individual and yes I think I am an original one of a kind.

Experience over time allows us to understand that what we think is originally ours, even if we agree with others. The more time, the more consistent we can be that our thoughts are our own. That's the only way we'd know.

Commonsense: Yes; I am unique ! No ... I do not have a P.I.C. (Personal Identity Crisis). I do know (positively), who, what I am and where I am going. I am the sum-total of becoming and have not arrived there - yet !

If you're taught from a young age that there is a God, and told this your whole life, you'll believe it.

Religion is brainwashing someone into believing a total lie.

we learn by other people thoughts. take some, leave some, that is what makes us ourself, we do not all take the same ones. you must learn to be you. all life is for learning. some things learned hold you back, other things, move you forward. do not discard thoughts of others before you hear them. hear them first then either take them or leave them.

"Origin of the Species" brainwashed a lot of our youth and intelligent adults. What a waste.
