I mean why do they care what others believe? The Sunni kill Shiite the Catholics kill Prostantants. The TV Evangelists disc the other churches and the pope doesn't think anyone is going to heaven. Why do they feel the need to control minds and say you have to believe this? Why do they care so much?

Not many other animals respond as a man does to other living things despite his position in the order of the food chain.

Poor athilutionists. They can't see God.
Whenever I ask a question all the atheists do is attack my views on the basis of logic. They never attack me personally and don't ridicule me, the way I ridicule other people. They attack my views instead of my personality because they cannot handle the truth.

My logic is always perfect because I only use circular logic. The circle is the perfect shape, according to God. Also, only God can draw a perfect circle because pi is irrational on earth, but pi = 3 in heaven (check your Bible).

Also, any circular argument is by definition valid. Go look it up if you don't believe me. You might say that's just a technicality and that my arguments are bad because they're unsound, but you don't understand how God's logic works.

My arguments don't need to be sound. God is light and light must be experienced with vision, not sound. So a sound argument is unnecessary to see God.

What say you about that, athilutionistarianist?

I notice older people tend to talk about how today's society is much worse than 'in their day'. And yes, I see gangs warring, I see West vs East, I see battle of the sexes, I see ignorance.

The thing is, where did today's society learn to be so hateful and ignorant, if not from those who taught us our 'values'?

Indeed, all this is more widespread today, but who did we learn all this from?

Everybody, I welcome your thoughts, regardless of what your religious beliefs are. This is in the right category, because , though it isn't so much ABOUT religion, I'm sure that religion can play a major part in both the subject matter and the answers you all provide.

((((Everyone))))

Before making your choice on your belief, have any of you ever gone in depth into other religions? If not, then why condone others? is that fair? Wouldn't it be wise to study different religious beliefs instead of being "born into" your religion and be taught that it is the correct one or disowning the entire concept, etc? or just not bothering what so ever because you "think" you got it right the first time? The point is, how can one hate what they do not know? Anyone can be taught to believe what is right or wrong (in the opinion of another), but did you choose to find the answer and decide for yourself?
Have you studied, or did you jump right in?

This is an honest question, and if too many people can't answer without juvenile stupidity then I'll just pull the question (5 points means nothing to me because my life is more than YA).

Why would atheists come on here, some of them every single day, to spend hours bashing people who believe whatever? I am sinerely looking for an answer, not trying to change your behavior (because it doesn't affect me now and certainly not when the computer is turned off).

Why come on here, in a subject area that you are clearly opposed to with all your strength? I can understand the Chrstians doing it, because they believe in promoting their beliefs. But what honestly logical reason could an atheist have for doing this a lot (some every day!)?

It says that in the Bible. Do you interpret that God loved Abel more. It says he was favored more because of the offering he gave God.

Do the gaps in the genealogies of Genesis 5 and 11 disprove Creationism?

If a scientific theory explaining the diversity of animals requires a complete history of those animals, it seems like the gaps in Genesis are a problem for creationists. Have you guys ever tried to locate the "missing fathers" or do you just have faith that they existed?

God's response?

God killed every firstborn child of Egypt, including the firstborn of people imprisoned by Pharaoh as well as the firstborn of cattle. God struck everyone in the fields, man and cattle, with hail. God struck every single Egyptian with boils.

A just God?

If christianity is the only religion then what happens to all of the other people in the world that are not christians? Are they going to hell? What about all of the people who haven't even heard of christ or christianity are they going to hell? Some people say that these people will be saved out of ignorance since they were never given a chance to become christian. If that's true then isn't it unfair to the people who have heard of christianity? Missionaries, then, in a sense, are damning people to hell by exposing them to christianity. Also if there are societies that don't know a thing about christianity why is it so important to "God" that he be worshiped by those of us who have heard the story? Wouldn't it be more important to show the people that don't know of God the Truth? You know, that's all it would take would be one single appearance, one that can be documented, of God for everybody to believe. Any claimed appearances such as in the Bible cannot be proved.

I was just thinking about this the other day. Believers won't understand what I'm talking about, even though they'll think they do. :)

But for people that TRULY questioned their faith... do you remember that experience? The moment that you honestly, and wholeheartedly, considered the possibility that there was no god?

It scared the living daylights out of me. I remember, I opened my mind for just a moment, and let the thought come in. And terror overcame me. And I quickly closed off my thoughts again. I didn't revisit the thought again for weeks.

But I did it a couple more times, not being quite so fearful each time. And eventually, I overcame the fear and actually rationally looked at the situation. It was quite a feat for me. Anyone else remember this time?

And I know half of you clicked on this just to say Christian rock sucks, I'm not asking whether you like it or not, I want to know why some CHRISTIANS really believe it to be satanic or harmful.

Is it not just music? I think the " it's conforming to the world" argument is kinda weak, the secular world didn't put a patent on any type of sound, it's just instruments making sounds and I don't remember seeing any musical guidelines set forth in the Bible. If we take something and use it to glorify God, how can that be bad? Should we not drive cars or go to the movies cuz that would be "conforming to the world" We can't live in a bubble, it doesn't make us very effective in the world. The only thing that can make a song "Christian" or not is the lyrics.

I understand people have their preferences, if they like older more traditional stuff that's fine, but is there really a reliable or scriptural reason for calling Christian rock unbiblical?

Just my thoughts, what's your opinion?

You beleive that all killing is wrong? Well, imagine.....a classroom full of 6-7 ear old children. A gun man comes in with a machine gun ready and planning to grossly massacre the children (Sickengly, this happens!?) The teacher sees what is happening, and as he pulls the trigger, she pulls out her own revolver and shoots him, to save the life of 30 young children. Still beleive all killing is wrong ?
