I asked something similar before. The Christians pretty much told me that I would go to hell regardless of being a good person (virgin, don't drink, smoke or do drugs, never disobeyed my parents, haven't hurt anyone...), because I don't believe Jesus Christ is my savior, or something like that.

The simple fact remains that we are not God. "God wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." Humans see gray areas because we are not 100% perfect. Once we would let in one "loophole" good person, we wouldn't know where to stop. Now you sound like you personally have boundaries, which, once they're crossed, would send someone to Hell. Murderers, rapists, child molesters, whatever. Okay. Is it not OK for God to have some boundaries also? Simple ones, like "believe that I sent My Son, to pay for your sins, so that you could be in Heaven forever"? The "problem" with a lot of people is that they don't think something as awesome as Heaven should be that easy to get into, when it really is. I highly recommend the book "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis, for anyone who has any questions at all about the Christian faith. He was an atheist for years. Emphasis on "was". Have a great day!

The most important thing you haven't done is accept that Jesus christ is Lord and savior and that he died on the cross for you. I don't even like to pretend that I am God so I'll just say without accepting Jesus you are not saved into eternal life. But hey, you have a good start on leading a righteous life, might as well accept Jesus and make it official. I look at it like this, what's the point of being a good person on earth yet denying Jesus is the Son of God, so when you die all your goodness in vain is worth nothing.

Well because your a vegaterian... No not really but i couldnt resist.
You are my prime example of what is wrong with some beliefs on who gets into heavan. (why i started a topic on ths today) What have you dont wrong in life? If someone did not know your religion they would say you have lived a great life. And are deserving of Heavan.
But then they see that your are an Atheist. Ohhh Scary!!! We cant go near you AHHH!! etc.
So i'd let you in. Another great example of this would be Ghandi. Hes not Christen so hes going to hell. Ghandi in hell. Hell would be taken over by ghandi. Any place w/ Ghandi cant be that bad. So id let you in.
"If... you were God" I think id do somethings pertaining to the lottery, mad sports skills, physics knowlege. THen id let you into heavan.

Thank the lord, I am not god, nor am I perfect, I am a fairly nice person. But unfortunelately, God would have to send you to hell. Here is the reason, I am sure you are a nice and decent person, but I am sure at one point or another you have sinned. Have you ever lusted in your heart, envied a person, been jealous, put something anything on a pedistal, say money, cars, women, athelets (that is called Idiol worship, or putting something before God). The bible says "All of sinned" not just some of us, but "All" of us. Because God is Holy is can not be around sin, but he loves us SO much he sent his son "The perfect Lamb" Jesus to die for OUR sins, Those who believe in Jesus Christ, are covered by his blood and therefore seen by God as unstained by sin. You seem nice but you still are a sinner, just like me.

hi i don`t think that u have a slight idea about christianity.
first of all if u go back to the old testment u`ll find god telling adam that if he ate from a certain tree he will DIE, and when he ate from it god punished him by getting him out of paradise and giving him the death punishment and death means burning in hell for eternity. and cz of that jesus had to come to our world and die instead of us all and bare all our sins while he made none, when jesus died on the cross he went to hell and freed all the good people waiting for him and he took them to heaven.
so if u did not believe in jesus christ u have no chance.
i`m sorry if u don`t like what i`m telling u,but try looking for the truth really from ur heart and i`m sure if u re really willing u`ll be shown the way.
there is one more thing i wanna tell u , it is not enough not to harm people to get to go to heaven, u have to love others and do good deeds willingly and with love.
Good luck.

We aren't God, but you don't believe in God and spend no time with Him on earth, why would you want to spend eternity with Him? You answer is Yes. If you died right now and what you have told the world is the truth about you, then yes, you would perish.
It's not about how good of a person you are! It's about the blood of His perfect Son covering your sins!

Not doing bad things does not make you a good person. Not harming any one, doesn't make you good. Not smoking or drinking, doesn't make you good. The thing that makes a person good is what they choose to DO.
For example; A Good person not only doesn't harm people, but also helps people when they are in need, maybe by donating their time and volenteering places?
So, you haven't proved that you are a good person. You only proved you're not a bad person.

It is a guess, none of us can judge another soul.
But, in Catholic Teaching, you are doing good still through Jesus, even if you do not know about him. So there would be a strong case that you could go to heaven.
Unless you have specifically denied him, in which case you would be exempting yourself from heaven, it would not be God sending you to hell.
Hope this helps!
