I think you should address this question to pacifist Christians like the Amish (who don't use computers) or Mennonites. Most "fundamentalists" are not pacifists as far as I am aware.

Imagine .... that same teacher places her gun in her unlocked desk drawer because the damn thing is heavy and makes her underwear form a wedgie. She leaves the classroom during a test and one of those children sneaks into her drawer, takes the gun and accidentally blows away another kid.
Guns are wrong. If there were no machine guns/hand guns/rifles ... etc in the hands of the ignorant masses, the man wouldn't have a machine gun in the first place.

This could be looked at in light of what elected authorities are allowed to do...by God.
(Romans 13:1-3) Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. 2Â Therefore he who opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will receive judgment to themselves. 3Â For those ruling are an object of fear, not to the good deed, but to the bad. Do you, then, want to have no fear of the authority? Keep doing good, and you will have praise from it;
If a government has authority to carry oput the death penalty, then according to the above scripture, they have God's authority to do it.
BUT THEY MUST ANSWER TO GOD HIMSELF, for their decisions and actions.
Example; In Australia, there is no death penalty. and given the situation described in the question, a person protecting children would actually be charged by the police.
It seems the American situation is fairer, where someone in the same situation, no charges would even be laid.
The law on no killing, in the Bible, implies that there is no little effort on God's part, in either giving life initially [ at birth] or in resurrections. It requires appreciation on our part.
Also, the MOTIVE behind the killing MUST have a bearing on the matter.
God is perfect in justice and does consider these aspects.

There is a difference between killing ( the teacher) and murdering (the gunman).
I suggest learning the difference before posting.

Who said all killing is wrong? Jesus told the disciples to sell things to buy swords for self defense.
I guess you don't understand Christianity at all.

Your first problem is that "fundamentalists" don't recognize themselves as such. Secondly, I don't know of any Christian group that objects to killing in self defense when no other means is available.

Why is the teacher packing heat?
That's a horrible example.
Self-defense makes sense. I really don't see the point of this question towards Christians.

What does this have to do with fundamentalists?
You're picking the wrong bone here, try something that you don't fantasize about doing, you'll be alot clearer in your example that way.
