I hope he does. We have been lost souls for centuries now. But I feel even if he comes back, people won't be able to recognize him. We are too stuck to our books and ideologies. Jesus doesn't came back the way the way Bible has described, people won't believe him. They would probably crucify him again.

Jesus said he would return...as in a cloud...
Because he was perfect and had spent 3 1/2 years in the flesh, on the earth, why should he repeat this. He is returning, not to further teach us...we have the Bible now for this...he is returning to finalise things,
On a cloudy day, can birds or even jetliners be seen? No.
So to return 'as in a cloud', Jesus meant he would be invisible.
But his effects would be obvious.
He is fulfilling Daniel 2;44
(Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;

Jesus is now that King of that Kingdom, and is now 'riding out' as the King on the white horse./
(Revelation 19:11-14) And I saw the heaven opened, and, look! a white horse. And the one seated upon it is called Faithful and True, and he judges and carries on war in righteousness. 12 His eyes are a fiery flame, and upon his head are many diadems. He has a name written that no one knows but he himself, 13 and he is arrayed with an outer garment sprinkled with blood, and the name he is called is The Word of God. 14 Also, the armies that were in heaven were following him on white horses, and they were clothed in white, clean, fine linen.

Jesus is carrying out Almighty God's plan that we have all been warned about.

(Revelation 18:4-5) And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.

For those who refuse to comply, death will be the result.

(Revelation 19:17) I saw also an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice and said to all the birds that fly in midheaven: “Come here, be gathered together to the great evening meal of God,
(Revelation 19:21) But the rest were killed off with the long sword of the one seated on the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth. And all the birds were filled from the fleshy parts of them.

It all fits TOO WELL for us to NOT take notice.

John 14:1-3 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

John 14
1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Yes

Very, very soon!

"Behold He comes, riding on the clouds

At the trumpet call, Lift up your voice

It's the year of Jubilee

And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!"

Yes, and then the Christians will realize that they have been led astray and will accept that God has neither partners nor sons and has never come to earth in human form. He is ONE. There is nothing like Him.
