I'm sorry that you are going through so much. Remember, one of the major ways that Christians have to recharge isn't to be alone. It is to be with other people. Do not forget your local church. Hebrews 10:25 says, "Do not neglect meeting together like some people have the habit of doing." Don't grab coffee with someone so you can complain about your life. Grab coffee with someone so you can pray through what is going on with you. Give your problems to God. Remember, He's God! He can handle ALOT more than you think he can. SIt down and really pray. Get angry, yell, cry, scream. Tell him that life isn't fair sometimes. He can handle it! It releases you from your own emotions. Don't pretend they aren't there, but don't hide them either. Put them in the hands of God and let him give you peace in return. Deut. 20:4 states, "For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory." Do you realize that means that God will fight our battles and give us the benefit of the peace that comes from it? Remember that promise. Stand upon that promise.
Connect yourself in scripture again. Read the Psalms each day. Did you know that you can read 5 a day and finish the whole book in 1 month? Did you know that you could read 2 every day and 3 every other day and finish in two months? Did you know that you can read one chapter of Proverbs each day and finish in a month? Make a habit of reading scripture. The amazing peace that comes from that is just -- awesome. Psalm 1:1-2 says that he who is blessed is the one that doesn't follow the way of the wicked, instead he meditates on God's word day and night. Don't allow the word to leave your mind. Keep it in your mind at all times.
Remember, we were never promised a perfect life. I know you know this, but truly think about it. We are never promised a stress-free existence. We are always promised that God NEVER leaves us. Never forget that He NEVER forgets us. :-)

Read acts 2:38 and it will help you to get back on track again. I find it helpful to read the bible and pray for a understanding as you read. I have been studying the bible for many years and I have been a happy person for years! But it don't just come by reading alone. Attend church and bible studies, get close to some strong saints of God and in that way you will be hanging around some positive people. Begin by reading the bible from Genesis until you complete the bible. Don't allow yourself to be depressed because it can lead you into other things such as a nervous break down. And once you have reached that point there is no return except to turn to Jesus. He will help to pull you through. There is so much negativity in this world that can cause you to break down. Stay close to God and your good days will out weight the bad days. Jesus is a healer! May God bless you.

The thing I do when I'm stressed is pray to Jehovah God through his son Jesus Christ and ask him for his guidance. And I throw all my worries and anxiety on him! And also I read the Bible. He is a loving God and will not allow any of his followers to be tempted beyond what we can bear and he will always make a way out for us if we believe and show we love him by living our life in accordance to the Bible.

First you have to define closer. God is as "close" as ever. He is communicating with you ever second of your life. Whether you listen (which is hard for everyone) is a different story. God does not distance himself from anyone. But if you are talking about becoming closer as in closer to the Church than I can not help you their.

Praying, ask for the strength to get through this difficult time. Remember, God would never give you more than he thought you could handle.

YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN IN A QUIET ROOM AND GET ON A PERSONAL LEVEL WITH GOD, I MEAN REALLY TALK TO GOD, PRAY ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE, IF GOD LEADS YOU TO SCRIPTURE THAT WILL HELP, SO MANY OF US, SLIP OUT, DO YOU KNOW GOD WANTS TO TAKE OUR WORRIES FROM US, I BELIEVE IT IS A SIN TO WORRY, BUT WE ARE HUMAN, WE NEED TO GIVE IT TO GOD, LET GOD TAKE CONTROL, GOD ALREADY KNOWS THE OUTCOME, AND DOES NOT WANT YOU TO GO THROUGH IT ALONE, ALOT OF TIME GOD TAKES US THROUGH THINGS TO MAKE US STRONGER, SOMETIMES OVER, BUT OTHER TIMES THROUGH, WE JUST NEED TO ALWAYS KNOW, OUR LORD IS WITH US THROUGH EVERYTHING, AND WILL NEVER MAKE ANYTHING HAPPEN TO US THAT WE CANNOT HANDLE.
GOD BLESS.
