Why is it that when you ask a catholic about their faith/religion/rituals, most of them give you a website to read their Catechism of the Catholic religion?
Why can't they just answer, biblically?

The first one I'll lay on the table is a Circle purification that doesn't use Incense: for asthmatics, those with allergies, and those with other pulmonary disorders.

The information below rather dates the ritual in the 80s.
"by Matrika, co-sysop of PAN- the Psychic Awareness Network, 300/1200/2400 baud"

If this ritual would be of use to you, send me an Answers e-mail with an e-mail address to which I can attach the file. The file is too many characters to post on Answers.

If there is enough interest I'll modernize more files (this one was in wordstar format) and put up questions as to who might want them.

No, there are no strings attached. This kind of thing goes with being an Elder and Librarian of the Lore.

When people are in trouble they tend to pray and hope
for the problem to resolve. Once the problem coincidently
resolves (prayed or not the problem would have resolved
anyway) people gets overly excited and converts to a
chrisitian. In fact Christians are people who are insecure
and afraid. Therefore they become easily convinced that
there is a God protecting them. You can't blame them for
that, some people are afraid and believes in what they
need to believe in to feel secured. Admit it Christians,
you are just a bunch of insecured cowardish childs who
needs mommy to feed you milk.

I just got my hand baskets all spruced up and I am wondering if I should insure it seeing that it gets really hot in hell. Plus I'll have to launch mine a little before Friday seeing I am typing this question with my eyes closed. My furkids are calling me to bed. A gay guy couldn't have any better girls to sleep with!!!!!!!!! Goodnight, sleep tight??? and don't let the bugs bite. I guess that is why all three of us have matching flea collars.

I personally believe that god is not a personification; he cannot actually create miracles at a whim but is instead some creative force of the universe that allows things to organize and become systematic. Anyone else's thoughts?

What's the possible explanation for this phenomena !?

Physics and biology cant explain this - there is nowhere in this Universe that the natures logic law of "Universal Physics" never apply , except this one. ( I guess).

simple theories of thermodynamic and thermal conductivity of the human understanding on physics at heat transfer is not applicable at all to this unexplainable paranormal phenomena !!

I witnessed it myself on a Hindu pilgrimage festive, where the devotees walked bare footed on semi-burning charcoals for an astonishing distant of about 30 meters. ( reported temperature is more or less about 1200 degrees F

Is it power of mind ( mind-over-mater control)
Is it mystical powers of fakirs and devotees
Is it a motivation factor of turning fear in to power
Is it a method for overcoming fear and phobia
Is it a spiritual experience
Is it..........................................................................

Christians and Atheists seem to always be attacking each other in this forum. When I direct a question to Christians, I get thousands of replies from Atheists saying "god isn't real" and the occasional idiotic slur from a Islam saying "praise allah"
Where are all the other religons?

I am an Atheist but technically I am still (sigh) a...Catholic. I took all the Sacraments of Initiation.(against my will) I'm sick and tired of my friends calling me a Catholic too. They always say stuff like "you are not an Atheist you are just a lapsed Catholic" that annoys the crap out of me. So I want to get rid of this religion from my life. Is there any procedure to this??

Jan is doing a wonderful thing by having everyone say something nice or encourageing about eachother on this site,
can you think of one blessing or encouragement that you have gotten from yahoo answers it could even be a person that posts frequently?

In a world of negativity and strife we all need to love and encouage one another. I thank God for ALL of you who have posted on my questions and help me to grow in the Lord even recently.
What and/or whohas been your biggest blessing on the R&S site?

It's a simple question. I want to see what percentage of people really masturbate, because a lot of people say that most people, if not everybody, masturbates. Just want to see if it is true.

I must agree with you in order to have your answer, so let me agree. Now, there is no GOD. That is correct. There is no God.

Mr. Atheist, I noticed this world is round, I noticed there is a bright light all the way up in space. I wonder who put it up there. As an Atheist, can you answer that, since you know as a fact there is no God?

Educate me, Mr. Astheist, help me understand this world without you referring me to a website. I've learned enough about evolution, but I am still confused to who make evolution.

Mr. Atheist, when i die, will I return to earth, or my breath will be gone for good and my body shall become dust? If you know that as a fact, especially since you have never experienced death, nor have you ever became dust, what will happen after death? If you are not certain, then you are still curious, right?

Revelation 12: 10-11
10) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of Christ: for the accuser of the brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Have you overcome in your life, so you can see others overcome and be set free as well? This is the time people to humble yourselfs and get busy in the work that God has called us too! Pray in the spirit / stay in His presence, God will give you direction.<><

I was raised christian, and now I dont think I believe in a higher power, but if I'm really frightened I'll pray.......like a reflex, like when I was a kid.

Do other atheists ever do this? Do you have to be religious to pray? What is prayer? Is it similar to hope? As an atheist I'm not uncaring, I've hoped that things would work out for people I've cared.

Hope is comforting, no? Or am I just weak?
