elected officials?.....televangelists?...hollywood stars?.....
why are any of these considered better qualified than the others or you or me?

Because they wear flashy suits, have millions of dollars, and are stars for crying out loud. Ordinary people like you and I should not be allowed to think for ourselves. How do we know whats best for us?

Not sure I understand your question. The Bible tells us what Jesus expects of us all. He expects us to give up our sinful ways and follow Him. He expects us to accept Him into our hearts and let the Holy Spirit of God guide our lives. He expects us to receive His gift of salvation to us by His death on the cross. He expects this from us, but He knows that many will choose to go their own way, walk their own path and determine their own eternal destiny.

The Bible is your authority. No one else can work out your salvation for you, but you. You must study the scriptures and work it out for yourself. Even if you have a teacher,,prove his word against the Bible. After all, they won't be standing beside you on Judgement Day.

None of them are. Only God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are qualified.

I hate all of them people. They dont know what God wants from us.
I trust my lowly Pastor more then any of them. Because I can read, and follow along when he preaches from the bible. I can read and see what he is saying is true. Therefore, I know what God wants, because he wrote it down for us all!

If he existed, he would have died and turned to dust over 2000 years ago. If he ever had any wants they disappeared with his demise.
