This simplistic view is actually just a top layer of something very complex (also influenced by man made views and ideas of self-esteem, self-reliance, self-sufficience, etc.~everything today is all about "self"). Before I knew Christ, I was lost. I WAS insecure and afraid, that is true. But even when I accepted Jesus, He didn't change me, He just gave me the tools and instructions on how to do it. Since following His teachings, everything in my life has drastically changed for the better. And I assure you, my problems would not have "resolved anyway". I'm just so sorry that you haven't accepted Him. But I am claiming for you a life full of faith. I know that right now your heart is hardened toward Him, but I am praying for a miracle in your life so that you can begin to build a relationship with Jesus and ensure your future in eternity with Him. God bless you!!!!

Absolutely I deny this. Christians have no need to be afraid. Everyone has troubles in their lives. And I hate to break it to you, but guess what...problems don't always resolve. A sick relative dies, someone loses their job, etc. But we know God is in control, and He watches over us. When troubles happen, it only strengthens my faith in Him.
If anyone is insecure, I'd say it was you, the way you attack Christians. You seem to have a lot of anger pent up inside. You may want to try talking to a counselor or therapist before it gets out of control. Hope you feel better.

Your statement deserves to be denied.
"Admit it Christians, you are just a bunch of insecured cowardish childs who needs mommy to feed you milk."
Would you put that question to Pope John Paul II, Mother Teresa of India, Billy Graham or even Albert Einstein, John Newton or Copernicus, etc and let us know their answers. All of these individuals hold/held a faith in God that assisted them in the lives. Even the great scientist above believe god created the earth and their work only helped others to understand the wonder of creation.

Definitely wrong. You are trying to simplify something very complex.
I'll give you a real world example: two very close friends: Jim and Abe. both were church going guys, who studied the bible togehter and believed in God. Both had young families.
Jim was not as smart as Abe, but he trusted God and obeyed his word. Abe was very smart and very successful. but, he thought he was too smart to believe "everything" in the Bible and so he didn't obey some of the more "simple" things of the word - like prayer.
5 years later, Abe has a wrecked home, lives a shattered life and is bitter - not believing God. Because he chose not to obey the simple things.
Jim had started out very different: not very smart, not a very good job, many difficulties. Today Jim has a very good job, a very happy marriage and very happy kids, he is well adjusted and healthy - having seen God do miraculous things in his life.
The two seemed very much the same 5 years ago. Today, things are very different. Abe is in a very very bad place and isn't willing to admit that he is his own problem.
Prayer is not a magic formula. It is the act of an obedient heart, which God always responds to.
God is.

You're wrong! Christians are secure people. And we do not only trust God and praise Him on happy moments or when He answers prayers. Christians are not cowards. You just don't know what persecuted Christians have suffered and what they are willing to give up for their faith.
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 8:35-39)
Not even you!
Every person is entitled to his own belief. We respect yours, please respect ours. You have a lot of misconceptions about Christians.
Try to read the Bible before making any unnecessary comments.

I do not fit your ideal of Christians. Christianity isn't about being insecure it is about being secure. If you were half as sure yourself you wouldn't worry so much about Christianity. Just live your life and I will live mine. I have been Atheist and Agnostic. I have studied my faith from the non believers view first. Therefore I was not afraid of dying . My views differ from everyone I know. And you seem to be like me . You are coming from a non believers view. We make the most steadfast Christians when we figure things out. Bless you in your search.

Wow. Your uneducated. I hope even most atheists would know this is not true. NONE of the christians I know became a christian like that. My husband was in a band. With his twin atheist brother, and found the Lord. That didnt go over well, but when Gods wants someone, he will find them in ANY walk of life!
My life right now is up in arms. Everything that could possibly go wrong has. It is SO easy to get down and not know why this is all happening. But I know that God will get us through. With the situations we are in right now, most people would NOT be ok. Anyone who knows us who is not a christian thinks this will NOT be ok, but I know it will be :)
My husband is studying to be a missionary/pastor. I know our trials are going to be there more then other because of the work we are going to be doing. He is going to try our faith. I pray we come through it faithfully.

I deny this. I use to think the same way about Christians until I began to hang out with a strong group of believers. They could say no to temptations and desires. They layed down their lives and stood up to state what they believe in. I saw them face tradgedies and persecutions with courage and strength. I admire them and realized that I was the weak one. I thought that I could never be like them. I was right, I could never be like them without the Holy Spirit abiding in me. Once the Holy Ghost came upon me, I became stronger because God manifested Himself to me. He talked to me and gave me dreams and visions. He told me who I was going to marry and He delivered me from all of my addictions as if I never did them! Now when troubles come my way, they have to run because I have dominion over them.
Let me ask you something. Will you deny atheism if your life was on the line? Christians do. So quit your immature belly achen and get a life. A life that lived to the fullest and can only be found in Christ Jesus, my Lord.

Sounds like you lump all Christians together. Nada! There are 'real' and 'fake'... Real Christians have a lot of guts. It takes a man to stand up to his co-workers and tell them what he believes. It takes a man/woman to go serve God as a missionary risking persecution and death for what they believe. Your comments reveal a lack of knowledge of the Bible and Christianity. I suggest you read the book by Lee strobel... The case for Faith.... He was an athiest/agnostic just like you who had never really read the bible let alone studied it. I challenge you to begin a real study of the Bible and prove it wrong! Try it...You might learn something! Start by readying Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.... and learn about the MAN, Jesus... a courageous, fearless man who was also God in the flesh... who came to earth, willing to die... What are you willing to die for?
