Many creationists believe the Earth is flat because the Bible says the Earth is flat. So I suppose that even though there is a mountain of evidence to suggest that the Earth is round, my belief that the Earth is round is faith based????? I guess the same logic also applies to evolution. Even though there is a mountain of evidence that evolution happens, my belief in evolution is just as faith based as my belief that the Earth is round.

.......who do, don't even believe in God ???
When the marriage vowels are said before a Holy God, this God expects people to honor the covenant, that they have made before God. A covenant cannot be broken , without a price to be paid .

You believe everything about your religion completely based on faith and faith alone.

Yet if someone not of the Mormon faith questions or criticizes or points out the flaws in your religion, you demand scientific proof.

Then, if said proof is provided, you scoff it and dismiss it as nonsense and buffoonery.

How can you live like that? What exactly am I missing here? Please try your best to provide straight and to the point answers.

My wife's catholic family wants to know why we're not baptizing our baby. My wife said we're going to wait until he makes the decision on his own. but what verses support this? I remember reading a very straight forward verse buy I can't remember where or the words exactly.

Unam Sanctam- Issued by Pope Boniface VIII, November 18, 1302 states:

"That there is only One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church we are compelled by faith to believe and hold, and we firmly believe in her and sincerely confess her, Outside of whom there is Neither salvation Nor remission of sins..."
"Therefore, if the Greeks or others should say that they are Not confided to Peter and to his successors, they must confess Not being the sheep of Christ..."
"Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff."

Pretty Freaky.
So, am I going to Hell because Im Not Roman Catholic, just because the so-called "Vicar of Christ" said so?

Maybe the Christian god describes hell as being so bad because he just wants more people in heaven and hell isn't such a bad place, but simply, the "other" place?

There are many opinions about alcohol, but what does the Bible really say? Abstinence? Moderation? Only for medical purposes? Keep in mind that while the word used in the Bible is wine, it doesn't always denote alcoholic wine. You must use the context and original language to determine the true meaning, and even then some instances are still inconclusive. I'm looking for well thought out answers and not just opinions or regurgitation.

Ok, so her last post/question was posted at 5:00 AM EST

Does that mean she died right after that? Because her "son" said she died last night....is 5 AM last night, or this morning? Did she fall asleep after 5 AM? I do not think that was her son!

If the Bible is wrong, wouldn't you want to know???? The bible may have been inspired by God, but it was written by man, and I trust no man to tell the truth. Don't you Creationists want to know if the people who wrote the Bible were being truthful. If I was going to devote my entire life to a being such as God, I would want to make damn sure I was right. Science may one day be able to verify if God does or does not exist. Wouldn't you want that verification??????

Christians, you say that God created humans to be above
all other animals. Yed we are not the conquerer of the ocean!
Hell the ocean is much larger than the land and yet we can't
conquer it! What you got to say about that! And for the land
we live on we just destroy it! Other animals live peacefully and
do not destroy the enviornment but we humans do!! So are
humans conquerers or hell creatures for motherly earth!?

then why has he never healed an amputee?!!?!?!?!?!

Apparently he's biased. He heals people with cancer every hour of the day....

I find it funny that Christians like to say that God heals only the things they don't understand or can't see/haven't been thoroughly studied and understood by science. How many Christians have you known that have prayed for someone who lost an arm to regrow one?

They don't......even though their all powerful God should theoretically be able to do it. Interesting.....
