Well, the Bible speaks of other "worlds". It also refers to many "sons of God" in a context other than human.
Angels may be a form of "alien life" of sorts.
but, it is equally likely that the whole UFO phenomenon is created by demonic - ungodly creatures to deceive mankind.
It would take traveling at thousands of times the speed of light, to travel the span of our galaxy just once in a life time.

This is sort of a fun question.
I have thought about this a lot.
The way I figure it is that there are most certainly extraterrestrial beings out there. I cannot see how a Christian can deny it. God is an extraterrestrial being. Angels are extraterrestrial beings. They were not of this world.
Since I figure that says it on the existence issue for Christians, I believe that they are already settled as to which side they lean.
Science Fiction typically assumes that aliens haven't any idea that our God exists. And have their own systems for faith set and evolved throughout their history.
I would disagree with that assumption. That they know exactly who God is, maybe even more so than we do. But the issue is: which side are they on?
Some will be on God's side, and others will not.
As far as UFOs, I believe that it is in the best interest for those who are against God to confuse the issue, and make it seem like life evolved by presenting themselves as separately evolved creatures more advanced than we are. It is in their interest because they hate God, and want as much of His other creations, especially those who have a destiny of being the Sons of God through His grace. A sort of "gotcha" back at God.
While the majority of those who are extraterrestrials are on God's side, and ( I figure that they are the ones doing crop circles) retain a shroud of mystery, while declaring glory to God in their efforts.
That's how I see it anyway. I could be wrong because I am merely guessing.
How did I do?

Depends, of course, on the religion.
Unless the religion specifically makes the claim that some alien civilization (ala Space Odyssey and the black monoliths) was responsible for life or the quality of life on earth, the religion will dismiss the likelihood of any such intervention.
This is for the simple reason that it impinges on the purposes and will of a divine being or several divine beings if aliens are pulling the strings of human affairs.
If you are referring to alien civilizations simply existing, then many religions would not deny the possibility, but certainly the necessity of any such thing. God or the gods are, after all, infinitely creative (especially the divine in the form of a Life-force).
Bottom line: no problem if not implicitly or explicitly denied in the religion's teachings.

"Q. Are there, sir, any other evidences for that belief besides certain passages of Scripture?
GEISLER: Oh, yes. I have known personally at least 12 persons who were clearly possessed by the Devil. And then there are the UFOs.
Q. The UFOs? Why are they relevant to the existence of the Devil?
GEISLER: Well, you see, they represent the Devil's major, in fact, final attack on the earth.
Q. Oh. And sir, may I ask how you know, as you seem to know, that there are UFOs?
GEISLER: I read it in the Readers Digest." (Trial Transcript, US District Court, McLean v Arizona, 1981, cited in Gilkey, 1985, p. 76)

Could you imagine the mother ship landing in Vatican Square on Easter morning. Reporters surprised that the aliens in preparation for their arrival have learned to speak several human languages. When asked why they've come they say to hear the Popes Easter service...
The chances that we'll make contact with an alien civilization before Christ returns is 100 percent.
Blessed Be!

Thanks yoy for recalling an encounter I had with an evangelical freind.
She said I had a nice fantasy when i told her about a fictional scenario for future olympics (being alien and all). I proceeded to tell her that mathematically, it is almost imposible not to have life outside of earth itself. Accompanied by the conservative estimate there are 27 other earthlike planets in our galaxy alone, let alone the billions of galxies that our telescopes can reach, and the close to infite number of galaxies we can not see, She got very pissy fussy and kept yelling "common sense tells me aliens dont exist." I wanted to tell her that it was "common sense" years ago to belive the earth was flat, but the bell rang. Consequently, her least favorite subject was math.

God is certainly capable of creating a whole lot of other stuff besides just us. Luke 21:11 refers to "great signs from heaven" - UFO's? I personally think that some of the so-called alien abductions may involve demons.

hmm... interesting question.
perhaps they would believe that aliens aren't bound by original sin, and therefore aren't really required to know about God. or that God created some solo civilization that he had no intention of interfering with.
maybe they would point towards Ezekiel's Wheel and say "The Bible Called It!"
or maybe they would refer to them as demons who spread lies regarding the creation of the universe. in this case, they would try to start conflict, and in all likelihood we'd all die.
those are a few possible outcomes. the 3rd one is most likely, unfortunately. lol.

When the Anti-Christ sits in the temple and calls himself “God” he is going to have to produce “angles” to prove it. The powers that be have been preparing you for this now for decades. It all fits nicely with the whole “evolved from apes/bio-engineered from space aliens” theories that they’ve been feeding you. Are you going to buy that?

As demons.
No wonder those adorable aliens don't contact this primitive planet, the Christians would nuke 'em. Would you enter a cave full of Neanderthals?
