I thought it was in Romans somewhere? It said that those who are Jews are spiritual Jews or something like that.
Please where is it?

The Anger-Eating Demon

http://www.buddhistinformation.com/anger_eating_demon.htm

Before you criticize me for attempting to call you all hateful individuals, know that it is not my wish to generalize. However, much of Christianity does allow for equal retaliation and the belief that there is eternal torment for the non-Christians, and there are many who hate others who seem to be deep in "sin." This is so bad at times that some will even take delight in the thought that non-Christians will go to Hell.

What good is this thinking? This is not what Jesus taught. Should you not learn from his example and the example of other peaceful individuals, i.e. Buddha, Gandhi, etc?

Retaliation only begets more suffering, and your mind itself may do harm to you and others.

Does GOD wants to go preach to people and lie at the same time?

Did Bhagwan Mahavir and Mahatma Buddha ever Met?

Here is an interesting question…

Bhagwan Mahavir, the 24th Teerthankar of Jainism and Mahatma Buddha, the founder of Buddhism both were contemporary personalities. Both were in same region and we can find that both were visiting Rajgrahi, Vaishali, Shravasti and many other towns again and again. Many of the kings and other famous personalities at that time were disciples of both of them.

Now the question is Did Bhagwan Mahavir and Mahatma Buddha ever met? Is there any referance to this in Pali and Prakrit texts?

I am curious about this.

What would it take for me to start my own religion?

Do I just need to deceive the masses into my way of thinking?

Or is there a form I need to fill out?

Mine are "Cancer in little kids is a gift from god" and "The bible never changes."
The former for obvious reasons the latter because it shows such grevious ignorance of the origins of the religion. (that is to say the bible has been translated many times and has changed alot. Heck it had a whole testament added)

Global warming:
Why do you believe in it?
over the last 100 years, it has warmed up an average of 0.6*C, far less than daily, even hourly changes.
I won't go into detail, but I'd like to know.
Air pollution I understand, but why is it being forgotten for global warming?

Isn't this day a man made day?
We made dates.
Therefore, how is 07-07-07 a lucky day?
the two sevens made by two people hugging or whatever... those are purely imagination, by definition. The more we have it, the more easily we will see an object forming in a vague shape (and the more vague it can be).
Those are not perfect sevens.
Seven is also a man-made number.
The reason why there were so many marriages was because humans made it happen that way.
What's with this superstition?

One last thing
Psychics.
They start by telling you something very vague and wide, so that their chances are high of being right.
You then get what they told you, so you are happy... but what didn't happen?
A lot!

For many, the thought of Friday the 13th not only leaves goose bumps but an uncommon dread for the days' upcoming events. While I am not superstitious, many people are. It is said "we fear what we do not know".

How many of you know the true origins of Friday the 13th? 10 points to the correct answer.

"Do not envy one another; do not inflate prices one to another; do not hate one another; do not turn away from one another; and do not undercut one another, but be you, O servants of Allah, brothers. A muslim is the brother of a muslim: he neither oppresses him nor does he fail him, he neither lies to him nor does he hold him in contempt. Piety is right here-and he pointed to his breast three times. It is evil enough for a man to hold his brother muslim in contempt. The whole of a muslim for another muslim is inviolable: his blood, his property, and his honor."

The founding fathers where againts having one religeon over all

The Treaty of Tripoli (the Treaty of Peace and Friendship) November 4, 1796
Article 11, reads:

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion"

Pledge of allegiance September 7, 1892
I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,
MODIFIED AND CAMPAIGNED BY The Knights of Columbus in New York City(Catholic organization) to include the words "under God" finally Charles Oakman (R-Mich.), introduced a bill to that effect February 8, 1954, Rep

"In God We Trust" is the current national motto of the United States and also the motto for the state of Florida. It was declared as such by an act of Congress in 1956
Placed on United States dollar bill in 1957
So the notion that of America being a Christin nation founded under Christian law is totally false

I think no matter what you call "God", be it Buddha,or Alla or Jesus if you have religion, and spirituality then you have LOVE in your heart, not hate or disliking for people who dont see things the way you do or your father did, that is why we are a modern society, because we are all human and we need to learn to co exist or soon there will be no world to exist in....can I get a Woot woot, and ayemen or somethin out there?

Why Did Jesus COme

2007-07-13 02:20:57 · 10 answers · asked by Jimmy p 1

I'm currently writing a book about living in modern society and am now at the point of discussing religion but don't want to just express my own atheist beliefs... so was wondering what makes you believe, or not believe, in a God (of any religion).

Most people are raised to believe what their parents did, but how do YOU know it's the truth? I'm not asking you to prove that God exists, such a thing would be almost impossible, but what makes YOU believe he does.

Any answer welcome.

I was recently labelled an islamophobic for suggesting that we should stop muslims come into our once wonderful country in light of the recent events.

A phobia is something you are scared off... Im not scared of muslims or islam I simply disagree with everything they stand for so why arent i labelled as 'anti-islamic'?

anti-Christian exists but there is no christophobia!!!

So to all those people out there im 'Anti-Islam' not Islamophobic.

Does this bug anyone else?
