Do you believe that all the stories in the bible, like the one about Adam and Eve, are true? Or do you just believe in God and see those stories as symbolism. And if you do not believe they are all literally true, how do you know what really did or did not happen? This is a serious question. I am really interested in your opinions and I am not trying to be judgemental

Life is not great for most people anyway, and none of us asked to be here. Why therefore does god or any other higher being feel they have the right to punish us after we die. Given the choice of a life of not sinning or eternal hell will ensue and no life at all I would choose no life at all, who's with me?

It truly amazes me how so many who have been 'sucked in' and 'deceived' by the false and inaccurate teachings of the catholic and protestant churches, nowadays, so ignorantly, try to hold fast to to those teachings and go on to even help to continue to lead the world astray.

Doesn't anyone know of "Satans' counterfiet christianity," going on for centuries?

Doesn't anyone care to TRULY STUDY?, ... and understand the REAL TRUTH of the 'Word of God?'

So last night I got banned from my local dollar movie theater. My and my friend were going to see the movie Baldes of Glory. When we entered the theater we were informed that a pipe had busted and the building had no water. So they lady at the concesion counter said for tonight only we could go get something to drink next door and bring it into the theater. Which of course is usually a big no no in movie theaters. So I went into to get some seats to watch the flick and my friend went nextdoor to get something to drink. Now next door to this theater is an ice cream shop. So when my friend went in there he decided to get a vannila shake. Seeing as it was an ice cream shop this seemd pretty reasonable to me. So he comes back in the theater and sits down and not my five minutes later an usher walks up to him and tells him he either has to take the drink outside or throw it out. So we assumed this usher had not been informed about the one night only you can go next door and get something to

Great article about how butterflys in Samoa have, within 7 years, come back from the brink of extinction due to a parasitic virus that was killing them. They EVOLVED a genetic mutation that allowed them to fight off the virus!!

Also, for those who say that humans have never OBSERVED evolution occur and one species form into another: Please go read about "goatsbeard", a rare flower that, 100 years ago, was introduced to America. It could cross breed with other flowers, however, its offspring was sterile, much like the offspring between horses and mules are... Well, after 100 years, these offspring began to be able to reproduce on their own, creating two entirely new species of goatsbeard.

But evolution isnt real, right?

I used to try really hard to be the best Christian I could when I was younger (Like ages 8-12) but I could never seem to put up with all the other Christians I met. I quit going to church and associating with them because of the standards they had. Anytime I ever did something wrong they would always tell me that it was wrong and that I needed to repent and all that jazz. I guess they just pushed me too far and I totally started to drift away from all religion. In a way, I want to have some sort of religion and I think Christianity would be nice and all if all the other followers weren't complete jackasses. I also hate the people that tel I see sermons on television, and some of the religious people on Y!A or anywhere I go and they just make Christianity seem like a huge covered-up cult system. So what should I do, take the path my own way, not have a religion at all, or put up with a bunch of flaming idiots that I don't believe for a second and want to make me punch their lights out??

If you never knew God, but you were a good person ( kind to everyone, to tried to be compassionate and understanding towards people, you helped the sick and the poor, clothed the homeless, etc.) would you still go to Hell? Say you never met God and no one tried telling you about Him and His love and for us or about Jesus Christ dying for our sins. You just never had a personal relationship with Him. Where would you go?

Apparently even in you do believe in Christ, you're still in trouble if you aren't part of the Only One True Church.

Is that the stupidest thing you've ever heard? What do you expect them to do then, live out their life in celibacy just because you don't happen to like their lifestyle? Would you do that if it were the other way around and heterosexuality were a sin? Get over yourself, they don't owe you anything. They're not hurting you but you are hurting them by being so ignorant. Why do you think they deserve that?

This version, published by the Watchtower was translated by 5 men...Nathan Knorr, Albert Schroeder, George Gangas, Fred Franz, M. Henschel. 4 of the 5 had NO training in ancient Greek or Hebrew Scriptures and never got passed a high school diploma...dont believe me? research it. Fred Franz was the only one and he only took 2 years of Greek in college? Can you be well prepared to translate something as important as the Word of God in 2 years? What about in Hebrew, Franz was self taught in Hebrew... How reliable can this translation be? Also, i forgot to mention Johannes Greber, he was a man whose "translation" of the of the bible was used as a basis by the WTS for their "NWT." They knowingly used the translation of a Spiritist Occultist to base their translation on.

I am a Catholic, and this is meant to preach about certain unBiblical Protestant beliefs.

1) Mary had children other than Christ.
Nowhere in the Bible is anyone (besides Jesus) called a "son/child of Mary". Jesus is always referred to as "THE Son of Mary" rather than "A Son". In Luke 1:31,34 the angel tells Mary that she will conceive and she says, "How can this be, seeing I am a virgin?" Nothing stops a virgin from conceiving, unless they want to keep their virginity. Mary must have wanted to keep her virginity.
2) Eternal salvation.
Many Protestants believe that our salvation can never be lost once we have accepted Christ. But 2 Peter 2:20-21 and Hebrews 10:26-27 both say that we will go to Hell if we willingly sin after being saved.
3) Sola-Scriptura.
Protestants believe that we must go by the Bible-alone. But the only people in the Bible who went by sola-Scriptura were the pharisees of John 5:39-40, of whom Jesus said, "you refuse to come to me".
Protestants do not have the Truth.
