So last night I got banned from my local dollar movie theater. My and my friend were going to see the movie Baldes of Glory. When we entered the theater we were informed that a pipe had busted and the building had no water. So they lady at the concesion counter said for tonight only we could go get something to drink next door and bring it into the theater. Which of course is usually a big no no in movie theaters. So I went into to get some seats to watch the flick and my friend went nextdoor to get something to drink. Now next door to this theater is an ice cream shop. So when my friend went in there he decided to get a vannila shake. Seeing as it was an ice cream shop this seemd pretty reasonable to me. So he comes back in the theater and sits down and not my five minutes later an usher walks up to him and tells him he either has to take the drink outside or throw it out. So we assumed this usher had not been informed about the one night only you can go next door and get something to

proviso for that night. Anyway the usher tells us we have to take it up with manager, who is to busy to come see us. So iguess find the manager who is taking tickets and just wants to give us our money back so we will leave. I tell the guy the deal that we were told we could bring drinks in, and his answer is "I don't want no icecream in my theater(I know he is actually the owner of the theater) So by this point I am pretty pissed off. Seeing as how you can't send people to an ice cream store to get drinks and not expect them to get some ice cream. So anyway this guy just continues to be rude to me so I call him a jackass and he bans me from the theater. It's not like I'm going back anyway, but I was just looking to see what you wonderful internet folks thought about this situation. P. S. if you're in Tallahassee Florida don't go to Movie's Eight the guy that owns it is a jackass.

He probably only owns a "Franchise" from a Major Corp. in which case I would contact that Corp. & tell them of the "Incident" and have them handle it. I would also say that this theater probably sells "Ice Cream Bars / Novelties" at the "Refreshment Stand" so his argument probably doesn't hold water. This "Contact" could be done by e-mail so that U can have a "Copy" and collect Ur thoughts properly. Now, where is the "Religion & Spirituality" Question here??? John

Did you ask the usher to go with you to the concession stand to talk to the lady at the counter? Did you ask to speak to management? Did you ask for your dollar back? I would do these things in this order.
By the way, our $9 theater actually allows us to bring in outside food and drinks. No sign prohibiting doing so is posted, and we are never stopped from doing so. That's why I choose them over a competing theater most of the time, and I even still buy things there from time to time. There's nothing that competes with theater popcorn!

nicely if her sister is ten years previous then advantageous i'm able to work out why she could be furious. If her sister is of an appropriate age the that's a especially unusual reaction from a so talked approximately as buddy. not sufficient info on your tale to entice sturdy conclusions. She ought to be jealous, she ought to think of that's irrelevant what you probably did. yet what's obtrusive is that she would not believe you as a real buddy, sufficient to precise why she feels the way she feels. And that to me is done and utter bs. and what's likewise obtrusive to me is which you particularly decide for to take heed to that she is in love with you or she has very sturdy thoughts for you, it quite is maximum like the fact.

I don't think the lady at the stand knew what she was talking about. But that would be her fault. There is no theater that would allow outside food. They try to make as much money as possible. Sounds like she's at fault though. Not you. But then you called him names! Awww - arguing your point is one thing but take the higher road before you call him names...unless it's absolutely necessary haha. Eh Blockbuster will take care of you. good luck!

wow, that sucks, i would give that usher a piece of my mind, lol. Well maybe not, but i would still have a heated argument with him. that is so rude of him. Did you talk to the concession stand lady with the usher? they might have cleared a few things up.

So how is it weird?
The guy who owns the place could set a rule that only black shoes and a tie will get you in the door!
