do you dream of them. and is that their way of trying to communicate with you from (the other side). what if you were not that close and you never dream of them. Does that mean that there can never be a spiritual bond because you were not that close when they were physically on Earth

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentence.

What is the difference between God and son of God?

Basically, it means that whenever Mohammed changed his mind he simply said that his new mindset was Allah's revealed word to him and to forget what Allah had said before. Seems Allah is fallah-ble

The Quran itself lays out the principle of abrogation:

2:106. Whatever a Verse (revelation) do We {Allah} abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allah is able to do all things?

The Bill of Rights in the US states we have freedom of religion, meaning we are free to worship as we see fit. That includes, in my opinion, a religiously separated government, otherwise we risk tainting laws and regulation with religious bias. Forcing belief and ritual on those who believe differently. Obviously religious morality of any leader will influence his decisions, but that isn't to say he should support laws deemed fit by the church. Gay marriage, stem cell research, Sunday sales, etc.

I've noticed several people mention a "Christian State" and so on, and it seems many people (some here, some not) think religion should dictate politics. Yet if another religion were to do so, they would view it as unfair...so how can that be justified for their particular religion?

What are your thoughts/opinions?

I thought that was the idea. You're banging some ho and then you stumble across the bible. you find god and change your ways. take it home for some serious studying. But my friend says if you take the book out of the room you are breaking the law and could be turned into a pillar of salt. is this true?

Just got my Proclamation of Ordination from the Universal Ministries in the e-mail this morning! I'm now officially an AUTHORITY on all things scriptural and scripture-like, and my word on the Word now has EXACTLY as much weight as that of any biblical scholar!

That's REVEREND Soleil Noir now, and don't you forget it!

First off, please don't start debating religion on here. Everyone is entitled to their own.
So I've been trying to figure out if there is even a religion that covers my beliefs because I'm sick of telling people my religion is a "mutt."
So I believe the morals and commandments of the Bible are completely right and should be followed but do not believe in Jesus or even the God as spoken of in Christianity. I believe Kharma is the good and evil of our world. I believe that Nature is God, therefore, there are no incarnations of "God," nor sons, and believe that science is the key to understanding our existence BUT that science is going too far. Natural Selection should be unhindered. (I don't have enough characters left to explain that, haha.) Anyway, anybody got any ideas on what religion this is or can be considered closer to?

“ALL ONE FINAL TIME ETERNAL DESTRUCTION FOREVER.”

These are the words that a responder chose to capitalize while describing what was likely to be discussed in a Jehovah's witness funeral service.

Did this person realize what he was emphasizing? Is this the underlying tone of HIS message? He talked about God, Jesus and a restored paradise earth and how no one would ever die again. But the thing that stands out to the objective observer is everybody's going to DIE.

Jehovah's witnesses carefully and methodically dissect the Bible and present a message that's supposed to appeal to all mankind. They want to emphasize how genuinely "nice" they are because they are doing the will of God. And they want you to join them.

But what is the part they are holding back from you at your door? What is the part they wait to tell you after they've held your interest for weeks of study? That most of mankind will die to bring about that happiness they've been telling you about.

What exactly does that mean? does he have a human form? if so, why? he doesnt need legs to walk...he doesnt need eyes to see or ears to hear. Why would he have any form at all? I am not a "religious" person, and I apologize if I offend anyone with my question... Its not my intention, I am just curious and like to learn.

I don't mean to offend, but I've read biblical passages that seem to imply that Jesus predicted he would return within the lifetime of his contemporaries. How do Christian apologists respond to this interpretation?

I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Mark 13:30-31)

He also said to them, "Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see that the kingdom of God has come in power." (Mark 9:1)

"Truly I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God." (Luke 9:27)

Actually the question is more specifically for evolutionists and creationists as opposed to atheists and Christians. But since evolution is about adapting and survival of the fittest, isn't the rise of homosexuality contrary to that concept, since it most definitely would *not* lead to survival of the species?

I've prayed for one thing for the past 4 years. ONE thing... and it's not I haven't received many other (undeserved) blessings... but I haven't asked for any of them... and I'd gladly give them up for this one thing... is there a bible verse that addresses this situation? I just don't understand... and I'm a little hurt. and frustrated.

Last night I had answered a question about Christians being dumb for believing in the Bible. I spent a lot of time on the answer. Now this morning the question is not in my list and I can't locate it. Why do these questions disappear and what happens to the points we receive when respond to them?

Many Protestant denominations say the Catholics are not Christians. The Pope say all other denominations other than Catholic are not on the true path and therefor not true Christians. JWs and LDS are considered by many to not be Christians. So who the heck ARE the Christians? Are there any?

20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
