Hey, I am not goofy!
Believe in God and be happy.
It's about a relationship with Him and no one else.
Worship as your heart leads you to do.
Sunday is a day to relax and worship God in your own way: go to the beach, fish, swim a mile (my personal favorite, God and I get a lot of quality time in that way), whatever relaxes you....

In answer to your question, yes, it's okay. However, you should try to find a church to go to for worship. God did not intend for us to practice our faith alone, but corporately. Remember, Christians are not perfect, just forgiven.
Since none of us are perfect, try to find a congregation or group of people who come as close to perfect as you can to worship with and share your Christian experience with. And, remember the only Perfect Person ever to walk the earth got nailed to a cross and left to die for the rest of us.

There probably is something that got the ball rolling but there are a lot of people out there who have strange ideas about who or what it may be. I'm in your corner.

I think it's a lot better than belonging to all of the commercialized churches, which is pretty much all of them.

The Bible itself tells me not to put my faith in mankind. We're imperfect, incomplete. I've still got a lot of growing up to do, and from what I've seen, so do a lot of right wing conservative yet well meaning bible thumpers.

There is nothing wrong with spirituality. But any organized religion always comes down to money. You do not need a church to be close with your god.

Not only is it ok, but preferable. One should believe in the Creator, not the created.
