Yeah so if you're a Harry Potter fan (aka nerd), which religion are you and what house would you be in.

You'd think the Christians would be Hufflepuffs, but you never know...

I don't know which religion I am but I would totally want to be in Griffyndor. Did I spell that right?

First, the Harry Potter books are fantasy, not nerdy. Secondly, the houses are divided like this:
-Gryffindor, courage;
-Ravenclaw, cleverness;
-Hufflepuff, fairness and loyalty; and
-Slytherin, ambition and Blood Purity.
So, if I lived in the HP universe I would be what I am .. Vinland's Volva .. so am not sure where that Talking Hat would put me. Because I am very much a traditionalist, perhaps House Slitherin.

I'm a witch/wiccan. I'd be in Griffindor by choice, but the sorting cap would probably put my in Ravenclaw, as I'm a coward in some ways.

But it is interesting that you ask, since most people assume there are no Christians there at all. Or rather, that Christians are not supposed to be Harry Potter fans, and certainly not imagine themselves to be witches or wizards. And yet notice that the holidays at Hogwarts are referred to as Christmas and Easter and Halloween, not Yule (the Yule Ball was held on Christmas Eve, not on Yule, the winter solstice) and Oestara and Samhain.

Actually, it is interesting that Rowling neatly sidesteps any mention of religion at all in her books. I suspect that is easier in England than it is in the US.

Huge-o fan. Pagan. What house? I'd probably be sorted into Ravenclaw even though I value the Hufflepuff traits more (fairness, loyalness, patience, trueness...)

ok, Wicca is a sort of Neopaganism, and this is no longer superstition-based lots as nature-based. rather, rather of God, they suspect in the triple goddess and the horned god. and that they suspect that they are able to apply magic and prayer in a fashion which will help them, merely as a Christian could use prayer and, say, Holy Water. no longer rather an excellent difference as quickly as you get all the way down to it. Anywho, i think of the wizarding international in Harry Potter has religious perspectives as diverse as we do. i'm particular some are Jewish, Methodist, Catholic, Muslim, Wiccan, etc. i do no longer think of faith performs very lots into it because of the fact using magic in the books isn't faith-based. this is merely an skill they ensue to have. attempting to pin one faith on the wizarding community of Harry Potter could be like attempting to pin one faith on all the mechanics in the international.

Atheist.

And while I am a Harry Potter fan I really wouldn't care what house I wound up in if suddenly I was in that world.... cause MAGIC FREAKING POWERS!

My "house" would be the last thing on my mind if I suddenly had MAGIC POWERS.

I'd be so utterly facinated by magic I pretty much be absorbed by it.

I'm a Christian, and a Slytherin. I know I don't come across as very conniving on here but trust me, can be. Besides, Slytherins are known primarily for being ambitious, not necessarily evil.

I am a passionate Christ follower and I think Harry Potter stories are great. I love the moral battle he deals with.

Being that I'm not a teenager anymore and therefore probably wouldn't fit too well with a school full of little kids, I'd opt to shack up with Madam Rosmerta in Hogsmeade. She's supposed to be quite the looker, so I hear...
