"Do not envy one another; do not inflate prices one to another; do not hate one another; do not turn away from one another; and do not undercut one another, but be you, O servants of Allah, brothers. A muslim is the brother of a muslim: he neither oppresses him nor does he fail him, he neither lies to him nor does he hold him in contempt. Piety is right here-and he pointed to his breast three times. It is evil enough for a man to hold his brother muslim in contempt. The whole of a muslim for another muslim is inviolable: his blood, his property, and his honor."

This to me is one of the precepts of Islam which has held us together in a cohesive group for 1400 years, transcending racial, national, and cultural boundaries. Knowing that wherever you may be, hearing Adhan means other people like you are near, means alot to someone like me. As an American, however, I see on a daily basis Muslims who commit usury on other Muslims, Muslims who sell khamir from their stores (something that would never be allowed in an Islamic nation, or under Sharia'a Law). I don't understand why these Bothers do these things, trade money for the blessings of Allah...

I agree that Islam made its rules for people to arrange the relative between them selves, either they were Muslims or in another religion.

The asker mentions some rules that arranged between Muslims and Muslims, but there are many rules she didn't mention about how Islam respect other religions, and punish Muslims who wouldn't respect them.

Islam commanded us not to revile un-Muslims' gods. Islam taught us that all prophets were in the right way: Noah, Jesus, Moses, ...etc. Islam told us that we shouldn't tell that all the other holy books, witch belong to other religions, are lay neither are right.

There are a lot of rules in Islam made a good life between Muslims and non Muslims, although some Muslims themselves don't know it. We are talking about Islam, not about some ignoramus Muslims.

YES i do, for the simple fact that I'm not a muslim. What do I get....other than dhimmi status?

let us read some more hadiths:
THIS IS FROM THE LINK THAT YOU POSTED, remember that when you get mad at me for quoting it...YOU POSTED THIS LINK (http://www.40hadith.com/40hadith_en.htm ) and I am only quoting from YOUR LINK:

p "I have been ordered to fight against people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammed is the messenger of Allah and until they perform the prayers and pay the zakat, and if they do so they will have gained protection from me for their lives and property, unless [they do acts that are punishable] in accordance with Islam, and their reckoning will be with Allah the Almighty."

"The blood of a Muslim may not be legally spilt other than in one of three [instances] : the married person who commits adultery; a life for a life; and one who forsakes his religion and abandons the community."

Let's not forget everyone's favorite hadith, "Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him." (vol. 9, p. 45)

Muslims don't hold such beliefs. Just look around the world and you will see that. When you quote the hateful things in islam's holy books that is what muslims believe.

These rules are for muslims only.
Remember that it's not a sin for muslims to murder "infidels".
ALL muslim laws are like that. Yet they continually try to convince us that the laws apply to all. That's an outright lie.
