It was Adam's fault... G-d told him (Gen 2:16) before Eve was made (Gen 2:22). Either Adam failed to tell her, or he failed to take authority and tell Eve she made a big boo-boo.

It was a big deal. It's called obeying. Don't you punish your daughter if she disobeys? And I'm sure she thinks that your punishments are too rough & you're just making a big deal out of nothing. I know I thought that when I was a kid.
