Do you ever feel that because you don't agree with many of the political beliefs (conservative) of the church that God doesn't want you?

if youre an atheist why do you need to tear down other people faith, what does it matter to you if someone wants to live by a particular moral code ? think about it

sure we shouldnt be imposing our beliefs onto a country forcing others to live under my structure but we live in a democracy so BOOHOO! if the tables were turned and atheists were in control i would have to accept it or leave. do you really think you will accomplishing separating church and state by tearing down the bible(poorly)? or would ur time be better spent being a productive member of society ?

since there is no after life, this is all you have and you spend it tearing down other peoples beliefs on yayhoo answers... you only have about 40 years left to make a difference then poof youre dust. shouldnt atheists be the more productive section in society?

For God made a covenent with the Jews never to forsake them.........All people say that christainty is the way, call God a unfaithfull liying soul. For Jesus is the only way to get to the father in heaven.......so for the last 2000 yrs all the Jews have been thrown into hell, over some guy who only really did mericals in front of 12 deciples. The rest were small ones, all that were close to this guy saw him do mericals. His best friend Lazuraus.....did he not show weekness in his power or magic when he tired to heal a blind man....three times he tried to heal him.....or is there a story to this,my xian ways never heard of.

The Muslims. The Atheists. The Buddhists. The Mormons. The Wiccans. Everyone. I mean you don't really see an Atheist comparing themselves to Mormons. A Buddhist comparing themselves to Taoists. A Muslim comparing themselves to Wiccans. They only seem to say, "This is what Christians believe.... but this is what I believe"

Why is everything here centered around Christianity? It seems like this section has become the Pro vs Anti Christian forum. Can't you ever just think for yourself and not constantly compare yourself to Christians or Christianity?

I understand there is such a thing as confession where you quietly tell a priest your sins, and with a prayer or two you are absolved. I don't get it, some say hate the sin but love the sinner. Isn't that a conundrum? Jesus befriended a prostitute, he hung out with societies outcasts. Hell, on the cross one guy next to him at the last minute asked forgiveness and was absolved. I don't understand how something supposedly made from love can be used as political weapons in order to further an agenda of non-acceptance when Jesus himself accepted anyone and everyone. Can you help me out here, it's really confusing. Thank you in advance.

You do the math. Why so much hand-wringing over gays with so many extra marital affairs? 22% & 15% of 97% of the population dwarfs the number of gays by a long shot. Even if only half get married, the numbers still dwarf they gay population.

buddhism explains death as the separation of mind and body, after which the body disintegrates and the mind continues to another life. We don't cling to our self-image as something permanent and unchanging. This is not to imply there is something wrong with trying to stay a life. But when time comes we accept death peacefully. in many religion like christianity death is seen as evil that should be avoided at all cause why is that? why do christian moarn the death?

A jehovah witness came up to me today and gave me their book?? I didn't ask for it and I don't believe as they do. I was going to be rude but didn't. but I think he was rude first and maybe I should have witnessed to him what I believed instead??

for the devil is against them.....they have the smallist religion, Lots of people hate them...don't know why? The christians say their laws are stupid.....or thank you for Jesus for your laws are stupid. To many to fallow....most of it is common sense.....maybe 5 that are werid....I still need understanding. if you look at it the christian way has 652 laws itself, do not sleep with animals....or do you belive that with Jesus it is ok to.
what is really changed in the law, pork and some other little things.......the christians all say I am glad he died for me....it is like they partook in the crusifix themselfs. No real care, for the lamb of God....or I will hear can you imagine all those sheep that would have to be sacrificed, I am thankfull the son of God is on that tree. I would rather Jesus be a animal sacrafice then this lamb.

so, i am currently a Jr. in high school, my parents are divorced and my family that i don't live near is insisting that i go to college near them.. they are not christians and don't have the same point of view, but my family where i live wants me to do what i want, i personally want to go to a christian college, and stay close to home, b/c of my church, my friends, and a "special" friend of mine.... i don't know which way to go
