The ten commandments says nothing about fornication it says though shall not commit adultery but technically fornication isn't adultery because your not married. If you only have to follow the ten commandments to get into heaven then you doesn't that mean fornication isn't a sin? HURRAY!!!

I have heard it all my life, but never been shown it, and quite frankly I like gambling. My husband and I won $800 on our first cruise. Paid for the whole thing. :-)

What is your opinion on this as well as your religious background?

If an Atheist tells you that dinosaurs roamed the earth long before man did, but a religious expert told you that there are no such thing as dinosaurs, it's just another trick of the devil, who is being more godly?

Also, if that same Atheist told you that the Earth was round and revolves around the sun along with other planets, but the same religious leader said that the earth was flat, set on a foundation, and that there were no other planets, those lights in the sky are all stars set in place by god and the sun goes around the Earth, not vice versa, who is telling god's truth?

What my question boils down to is this, how do you know your religious leaders and holy books are right, when (assuming there is a god) all of his creation is self evident and sometimes opposed to the current religious beliefs? Could it be that Atheists who go by the mere facts of observable and demonstratable reality alone are god's greatest witnesses to the truth?

Bob and Erin are a lovely couple. They have a home together. They have two dogs. They both work in the educational system. Bob is a devout Christian, goes to church, and has accepted Christ.

There's one catch: Bob and Erin are lesbians. Bob is short for Bobby Jo.

So, will Bob and Erin go to hell?

hate and violence would you try to ignore that part of your faith??
I mean if your belief about gay people may lead other people to behave in a violent way (kill, imprison...) with gay people, would you ignore that part of what is in the bible, in the name of universal love???
what would be more important for god : that you "fight" for everyone to "love"/respect everyone? or that you condemn gays?

Like many Christians, I often wonder what Jesus himself would have said about many of the major issues faced by the Church today.

I feel confident that I know what Jesus would say about capital punishment. He told us to answer hate with love, to turn the other cheek, and to love our enemies. He would be totally against the death penalty.

Jesus knew us even in our mother's womb. I think he would be against abortion.

But how would Jesus respond to the huge controversy over same-sex blessings/same sex marriage and ordination of homosexuals. With the previous two issues, I can read the words of Jesus himself and know what teaches about the matters. But its not the same with homosexuality. He said nothing about it.

So what would Jesus have thought about same sex marriage and the idea of openly gay priests?

What do you think?

With Noah, why didn't he simply put those he wanted into suspended animation, clean the slate and replace them?

Or in the End Times simply teleport up the people he wants and put the damned in Hell? Why the need for the 4 Horsemen etc?

If your're all loving but feel a need to damn people anyways why cause them to suffer, just teleport them to Hell and get on with it.

"For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death."
-Exodus 31:15

Im gonna ask my boss if i can get overtime on saturdays. If im gonna be put to death than i should at least make some extra money for my funeral.

I see the religious and atheist as standing in the ditch on both sides of a road scared to leave the safety of it.

I don't claim to be an Agnostic but I'd think your like me. The type that takes chances and plays in traffic, living everyday as if it's your last.

Looking forward to what's around the next corner or the next page in a book, a lifetime if learning everything you can. Open minded individual thinker to an extreme.

I can see where everyone else can be like this to certain degrees but not every minute of their life's.

Is this how Agnostics are or should be?
If so I don't think it's right your compared to athiest because your nothing like them.
