I will be 50 this year....about 12 years ago I had a great adult sunday school teacher who used to say that his favorite book of the bible changed regularly. His favorite book would be the one we were currently studying.

My favorite Bible verse is therefore the one that fits the situation I'm in. At this moment its Pro 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

But that is subject to change when I answer the next question.
Thanks for asking. Lots of these answers bless me.

Exodus 21:17
And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

Exodus 35:2
Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.

Deuteronomy
2:33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.

2:34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain

Hosea
13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Really, it's one of the best horror books I have ever read. Much better than most of the Stephen King horror books.

The God of the Bible seems to have something against children. After all, he killed all the children and babies in the flood along with the adults and animals, and lets not forget all the firstborn children in Egypt.

24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
