I know some Xtians think fossils are "God's" job too, doesn't prove evolution, well, do any of you xtians know "C-14" technology?...do you know we can test the age of the fossil from its half-life?...have you ever learned chemistry?....it provesthe fossils are millions years old, when you xchristians still believe the earth is only 6000 years old?.......Even native Americans history is older than that!

Yes most Christians are aware of carbon dating. And most are aware that it is fraught with problems. In fact, using carbon dating, rocks that were formed after Mount St Helens erupted were sent to various labs across the country to test carbon dating. All carbon dates were different, ranging from the hundreds of thousands to the millions of years old, yet they were from the same rock sample which was only a decade old. Pretty vivid example of carbon datings shortcomings. Other examples...shells from living snails were dating 27,000 years old. A freshly killed seal was dated as having died 1300 years ago. And the list goes on.
Secondly not all Christians believe the earth is 6000 years old. I would venture to say that most would think it's not.

I feel you should know a couple of things:
1) carbon 14 is not used to date fossils
2) not all christians deny evolution or believe the earth is 6000 years old
maybe after you graduate junior high you feel like you know everything about everything, but that's really an illusion.

I am an IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Association) Certified Radiographer and a Bible believing Christian. Half-life is a term refering to the rate of radioactive decay. Different Elements have different rates, obviously. In industrial radiography, we generally use either Iridium-192 or Cobalt-60. The half-life of Ir-192 is 75 days and the half-life of Cobalt-60 is 5.3 years.
Fossils do not have a half- life. Certain elements do. Students at Washington University in St. Louis, MO used your C-14 dating on a LIVE snail and got 14 million years.
Have you ever learned Chemistry?

Do you remember the "Hopeful Monster"theory? Or Lamarckian evolution or Sir Francis Crick theory that life arrivedhere by space aliens sneding it out to different planets? Or the multi verse theory? Do not be in a rush to put down what you don't understand instead of admitting to and working on weaknesses in your own belief. Oh I didn't get those ideas from Junior high I got them in college wait til you see what you can learn there.

There are two major problems that evolution hasn't dealt with:
1. There isn't enough time for the small rodent like mammals left after the last extinguishing event to bring them to the size and variety of the mammals the roamed the earth during the last major ice age.
2. Viruses have been known to man for approximately the last 200 years. During that time there have been billions of generations, yet never has a virus jumped species. Yes the have varied but they remain viruses..

The pro-evolutions are out in force. The answer to this is deep, and some will not want to hear it. But it is really a side skirmish to the real questions which need to be answered in a persons heart. I saw a car with a JESUS fish on it that didn't say JESUS but said "darwin" but "darwinism" is not a religion. Or is it to some people?
Now science is not a religion. this issue goes back to the scopes monkey trial. And some will say, "I am rational and the Bible doesn't give me explicit answers, evolution does." That of course isn't true, but they are taught how to understand evolution, but not taught how to understand the Bible.
And of course if you lack faith, you'll not want to accept the things of the SPIRIT but can see the things of the flesh and of the world, so are more likely to say this is true the other isn't.
JESUS is the TRUTH. Evolution is a theory.
The first statement there the Bible states. The second statement is admitted by science itself. Those who accept JESUS will agree with the first. Those who do not will not accept the first statement. But the second statement is universally TRUE for all people.
Knowing that we can't have faith in a maybe, but we can have faith in a TRUTH. But i'm sure if you investigated this theory called JESUS you'd find it to be TRUE . .. why not put all that energy into a study of JESUS in the Bible? . ..

mainly because a "fundamental" concept is just a concept based on opinion....and the problem with opinions are everyone is entitled to their own...although my school also deemed Martin Luther King Jr. as the greatest American leader....I think of Malcolm X as being the greatest leader....people bashing gays or being disrespectful to anyone for any reason most likely learned that behavior in their homes and what goes in our homes is far more powerful than a fundamental concepts being taught in schools
