The ten commandments says nothing about fornication it says though shall not commit adultery but technically fornication isn't adultery because your not married. If you only have to follow the ten commandments to get into heaven then you doesn't that mean fornication isn't a sin? HURRAY!!!

if you look at what's called the old testament you'll see tons of laws that restrict who it is that one is allowed to do stuff with.
it's not just the 10 commandments, it comes to 613 or so ;)
go figure.

Following the ten commandments does not assure you a place in heaven.Only by having Jesus as your Lord and Savior and asking His forgiveness of your sins can do that.
You do bring up an interesting point if you look at it in the literal sense.However their are many mentions of sinful behavior in the bible and fornication is one of them.That is why the bible should be taken in it's entirety,too many times text is picked out and dissected to meet the desires of people who read them,that is why there is so much confusion among believers in the world

Moses also mentioned that the penalty for a woman sleeping around with different people before marriage [I.E.: she was found not to be a virgin on her wedding night] was was punishable by death (Deuteronomy 22:13-21). In case you think that this is sexist, the prophet Hosea implied that the same standards applied to men as well as the women (Hosea 4:14).
Good thing that we are not under the Law of Moses anymore, isn't it?

This is more directed at the people who have answered-- In the Bible, in Deuteronomy 22:23, it says "If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife. You must purge the evil from among you." NOTE that it does not say that the man should be killed because he slept with her without being married to her. It says he should die because he chose to sleep with someone who had already committed herself to another man. NOTE that it does not say that the woman should be killed because she slept with a man without being married to him..She was to be killed because she was already committed to another man, making her the same as already married. Just some food for thought for the people think they have all the answers yet have not read or tried to contemplate the meanings behind the scriptures. Most people listen to what their parents, pastors, etc. tell them about what the Bible does and does not say and never do any investigating for themselves, and this is a tragedy.

Hate to burst your bubble, but fornication is a sin and not just....it's an abomination to God. There's more to following the law than just the 10. So, your goal is to get to heaven? How many laws can you keep? You'll have to keep all of them, you know. The only man ever recorded doing that was Jesus, Christ, who claimed to be the Son of God. In fact, He said because He was perfect and sinless, He would take man's place of punishment......and He did......on the cross. He died to redeem us all because we cannot keep the law 100 % and will have to go to hell for our sins. He and the Bible said the only way to go to heaven is believing and trusting Him as our Savior. You'd think that would be easier than keeping all the law all the time. Evidently not for some. Some just can't get past themselves and think they can save themselves. Impossible. Some just can't surrender to a Holy God/Creator and let Him save them. Go figure. Hope you make it. Blessings.

Jesus said believe in me and thou shalt be saved and thy house.Live by the commandments that the Father has given thee and one more I give thee ,love your neighbor as thy self.If your trying to live right then I think that God will steer you in the right way.
